Fortunately, I had a rest on the 7th, so I could sleep a bit longer. I was at home all day on the 7th, and they didn’t have a chance to cause any trouble. But at around 10 p.m., I went to take a shower. When I came back after the shower, I saw three small puddles of cat urine on the bed!!!
Is this marking their territory? I was so preconceived that I grabbed the little orange cat directly, pressed its head to the place where it urinated to make it smell, then softly scolded it, patted its butt, and locked it in the cat carrier for about twenty minutes. Because it kept scratching in the cat carrier and struggling to get out, the blue cat watched from a distance the whole time and finally even came over to the cat carrier and sniffed. In the end, I felt sorry for it and fed it a cat treat alone before letting it out.
The little orange cat was very obedient after being let out. I felt a bit relieved, so I removed the bed sheets and other things and just made do with sleeping under a blanket.

But then!!! Goodness me! At around 2:30 a.m., the blue cat started to be active again. It used the toilet, ate cat food, buried its feces, scratched the door, whined, sharpened its claws, and patrolled (!!! I didn’t really understand what it was doing walking around at night at first. It was only later that I realized it was patrolling!!!).
OK, fine. You can do your thing, and I’ll try to sleep. I pretended not to hear and feigned sleep with my eyes closed. Then I felt it jump onto the head of my bed (the bed is a bit special, and I’ll put a picture of it below). It kept sniffing. Then I half-opened my eyes and saw it walk to my right side and start to make the movement of burying feces (As we all know, cats will scratch the cat litter before excreting and also after excreting to bury their waste). I couldn’t pretend to be asleep anymore. I got up directly and chased it off the bed (When I’m usually around, neither of these two cats gets on the bed, but they will walk around or lie down beside the bed). Then I lay down again and tried to fall asleep.
And then!!! This old blue cat circled around the head of the bed, came to the right side of my head, sat there for a while, stood up, and started to scratch the bed sheets as if burying feces on the bed!!!
I sat up with a sudden movement like a carp leaping out of the water. I turned on the light and found that the place where it had just sat was indeed wet. I leaned over and smelled it, and it had the same smell as the urine on my bed in the previous two days!!!
The mystery was solved. I had punished the wrong cat before.
I grabbed it again to make it smell the urine, and patted its butt (But the difference between it and the little orange cat was that when I pressed the little orange cat’s head on the bed, it was very obedient, while this blue cat just stiffened and refused to lower its head. I could only lift the bed sheet and bring it close to its nose).
After a moment of stalemate, it tried to scratch me. Its hind paws started to scratch, and it kept struggling. I was afraid of hurting it and also of getting hurt myself, so I locked it in the cat carrier. It kept scratching and scratching in the cat carrier. The little orange cat even came over and tried to help it open the carrier, but didn’t succeed.
The little orange cat came over and rubbed against me, and kept purring. My heart almost melted. And because I felt guilty for mistakenly punishing the little orange cat before, I kept petting the little orange cat right in front of the blue cat that was locked in the cat carrier.
Then I casually glanced at the cat carrier and found that the blue cat was looking at me differently. I stopped petting the orange cat and went to deal with the cat urine myself (Because the urine from before had soaked into the mattress pad, so I removed the mattress pad. There was only a thin bed sheet on the mattress, and as a result, the mattress wasn’t spared either).
I locked the blue cat in the carrier for over forty minutes. It was almost 4 a.m., so I let it out. I wanted to pet it, but it wouldn’t let me. OK, you’d better stay this tough all the time.
During this time, the little orange cat had been lying on the ground very obediently and purring (the purring sound it made from its throat). I slept until 8 a.m. and then got up to go to work. Before leaving, I removed all my bed sheets, blankets, and pillows and put them in the storage box. Then I put a few of those things from Qidu Kongjian on the bed again and sprayed some children’s toilet water. I don’t know if there will be any “surprises” waiting for me when I get home from work later.
When I got home from work on the evening of the 5th and saw this, I thought they had just been making a mess on my bed.
But it turned out they had urinated!!!
The urine had soaked into the quilt and was almost dry.
