Coincidentally, I have both types of cats. But mine is not a blue cat; it’s a British Shorthair Blue – and – White. Now it’s a neutered male, and my little Ragdoll is a spayed female.
Degree of Clinginess:
Personally, before being neutered, the British Shorthair was more lively, and the Ragdoll was more clingy. Especially when they first arrived home, the British Shorthair only wanted to explore the world, while the Ragdoll was already circling around my trouser legs. After being neutered, well, they are both lazybones, lying around all day long. If I squat down and call their names, they will come over. Otherwise, they just raise their heads and give me a look, as if telling me to figure it out myself.

Intelligence Manifestation:
I personally feel that my Blue – and – White is a bit more intelligent than my Ragdoll. It knows how to open the door and has taught its Golden Tabby sister. So, I have to set up a protective door barrier outside the door. Also, it knows where the freeze – dried food is and will try every means to get it. Then it bites through the freeze – dried food bag and starts eating. The most annoying thing is that it knows how to treat people differently. It knows who it can’t bully at home. If I scold it, it just gives me a look. But if it’s someone else in the family, it will run away quickly to save its life.
Feeding Difficulty:
People say that Ragdolls have sensitive stomachs, but the one in my family doesn’t. It eats everything with relish and can eat anything. So, I’m not sure if it’s a special case. The Blue – and – White’s stomach is also nothing to be picky about. Regarding diarrhea, for long – haired cats, the feces may stick to the fur around the butt. I don’t even wipe it. I just hold the Ragdoll down and use scissors to cut off the fur with feces. For short – haired cats, when they have diarrhea, it doesn’t stick to the butt much. You can probably just see that there’s a bit of feces around the anus and it’s not very clean.
Appearance:
The Ragdoll definitely looks more fairy – like, and the Blue – and – White looks a bit more silly – cute. But this is only true for the first three months. After that initial novelty wears off, they look the same to me; there’s no difference.
Hair – shedding:
Both shed hair, a lot. There’s no difference at all. Just groom them well.
