The Heartwarming Bond with My Adorable and Affectionate British Shorthair Kitten

My little baby is extremely affectionate. I never worry about not being able to find her because she follows me wherever I go. Sometimes, my dad even says it feels like we’ve raised a dog. Hahaha

Here’s a picture!! This is my little chubby girl when she was almost three months old.

She has never been fierce to anyone and has never fluffed up her fur. She’s just so well – behaved and sensible. Sometimes she bites the furniture, but we are in the process of teaching her! She has made progress!

She fell asleep in my arms, just like a little baby.

She usually acts cute. She sleeps on me, looks at me affectionately, meows, then kisses me, and “combs my hair” for me (she licks me while hugging me). She also kneads on my stomach (I’m flat – chested). Her grandpa and grandma, who didn’t like cats before, have all been won over!

The little one likes to watch TV with her grandma the most.

She comes to rub against me every day, and I imitate her mother and rub against her too. Hahaha, she likes this kind of interaction.

My little British Shorthair is a very gentle little girl. When it comes to teaching the kitten, I always use a combination of kindness and firmness. I establish my status as the “parent” while giving her reasonable love and refuse to spoil her!

Sometimes when she does something wrong, I use the word “no” to criticize her. It’s easy for her to remember. When she hears this word, she knows she has done something wrong and will gradually correct it. After being criticized, she won’t take revenge or get angry. If she really makes me angry, I just ignore her and make a very angry and sad expression. She will be stunned and then come over obediently to make up. She’s such a gentle little baby~~

On the first day I brought her home, she slept with me at night. She slept beside my pillow, being extremely obedient. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that she was already awake, but she was lying beside me, looking at me and not wanting to wake me up. I was suddenly filled with the feeling of being loved!

But this good time didn’t last long. Hahaha, from the second day, she started her nightly “parkour”, but she did it very carefully and quietly. Unfortunately, my sleep quality is too poor, and I’m very busy during the day. I was woken up many times. Later, every night, I opened up my childhood bedroom for her alone. The living room and balcony were all hers. She could do “parkour” freely! I just closed the door and went to sleep. I put the cat food, water, and toys outside. She wouldn’t scratch the door or meow. She’s very sensible. The next morning, when her grandma came to wake me up, she would rush onto my bed. Does she miss me very much? (A moment of narcissism)

After raising her, I feel that it’s not me who is accompanying her, but she is accompanying me. When I’m reading or writing, she lies on my desk. During the day, when I sit on the sofa and watch TV, she lies on me. Sometimes I think these little ones have it not easy. We humans understand them and know their temperaments and personalities, so before raising them, we more or less know how to deal with them. But these little ones are meeting humans for the first time, leaving their mothers and friends for the first time to come to a strange human’s home, starting to learn the rules taught by humans, and starting to trust strangers. So, when teaching her, I’m not too eager for quick results. I hope she also feels that we are her family. Thank goodness, it seems that this goal has been achieved.

Overall, the personalities of cats can vary greatly within a breed. I can only be grateful that I met such a well – behaved and affectionate cat.

I forgot to say! Her name is Steel Wool Ball, and her nickname is Qiuqiu. Her grandma gave her this name~~

While typing, she came to rub against me crazily again, competing with my phone for my attention. Hahaha, I’m going to pet my cat!
