Tonight, when I was giving my husband a cupping treatment and holding a lighter, I suddenly had the idea to scare my cat. But unexpectedly, it directly stuck its face towards the lighter. I thought it would be afraid of the fire, so I didn’t have time to move it away. As a result, I singed two of its eyebrow hairs…
I was wrong. I was really wrong. My momentary whim led to a big mistake. Thanks to my cat for not holding a grudge. It still jumps onto my chest to sleep as usual, although it has been eating a lot these days and its weight has been increasing rapidly…
(By the way, the girl at the cattery said that we didn’t feed it fat enough, and that it would hurt more when giving injections, so we should fatten it up a bit… God knows how much exercise it gets every day. It’s like a sled dog in the cat world. But unfortunately, both my husband and I don’t like fat cats… Let nature take its course. As long as it’s healthy, that’s fine.)
My cat is really a “whiner”. It’s so good at acting cute and is also very talkative. It meows twice whenever something happens. It groans twice when it wakes up from sleep. I thought it was talking to me at first, but later I realized that it was just groaning for no particular reason.

It meows twice when it eats, twice when it drinks water, twice when it poops, and twice when it lies on my chest. It even gets close to my mouth and bites my face.
I often find it peeking at me. Once it’s discovered, it immediately scratches the things beside it, pretending to be sharpening its claws.
When it first came to our home, it slept very cautiously, lying there in a proper way. Now, it has become extremely lively.
It eats small meals frequently. I’ve never worried about its eating, drinking, pooping, or peeing. But it can’t resist the temptation of nutritional paste.
A few days ago, I took it to get its first combined vaccine shot. When it came back, it was listless. It would meow as soon as it was touched, looking like it really hurt. My husband and I were so worried that we even inserted a thermometer into its butt (damn it, it had just pooped). It was 39.5 degrees Celsius, which is within the normal range for a kitten. We felt a bit relieved.
The next afternoon, when it woke up from a nap, it suddenly came back to life, jumping around, being startled easily, and making a lot of noise. Even if we patted its head, it didn’t learn its lesson. The key is that it doesn’t hold grudges.
My husband and I were speechless…
How about… giving it another injection…
I made cat food for it to improve its diet.
(PS: Some netizens pointed out that dry and wet cat food should be separated. Thank you!
I knew someone would say that cats can’t eat onions!! Hahaha, there’s a kind of grass called cat grass. But it doesn’t eat it.
I bought it a cat bed, but it doesn’t sleep in it. It only sleeps on my husband’s and my pillows. Even if we throw it off the bed, it jumps back up. We’re always afraid of crushing it every day.
It’s gradually growing into a handsome “guy”. The yellow color in its eyes is becoming more obvious. I hope it grows up healthily. As its “litter – box cleaner”, I’ll be at its beck and call for a lifetime.
Update on December 2, 2020
Due to the epidemic, I boarded my cat at a friend’s house for a few months during the Chinese New Year. Originally, I only planned to board it for more than ten days. When it came back, it had become an adult, and its diet had also changed. It didn’t like to drink goat milk or eat dried small fish anymore. Its face also started to look “grumpy”. British Shorthairs are just like that, looking as if I owe them eight million.
Is this still the same cat? I’m so worried that it might have been swapped
But as its “mother”, I don’t mind. We will be together forever in the future.
