Welcome to the story of Lailai, this little chubby cat. Hahaha
I bought her at a pet store. When I went there, she was the only kitten for sale. What a coincidence!
This was when I first saw her, the smallest she’d ever been. Look at that little look in her eyes. Then when I brought her to my home, she had a fever and a runny nose right away. The pet store said it was because the air – conditioner was set too low, but actually, I usually set it at 27 or 28 degrees… (This was a foreshadowing of her later illness…)
She ate a lot every day and quickly got fatter.
She always loved my slippers. She had to lie on them to feel comfortable. When sleeping, she would also jump over and play with our feet.
After having Lailai, I can better understand the feelings of being a mother. I show off my “baby” all the time. Oh, no matter how I look at Lailai, she’s so cute. ❤️❤️
She follows me everywhere. When I go to the toilet, she lies at the door, waiting and watching.
Later… Lailai got sick. She had feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), which is like an incurable leukemia in humans. I noticed that she didn’t eat or poop for two days. She was listless and didn’t want to move. She would lie down after walking just a couple of steps. Then when we went to the hospital for an examination, it was like a bolt from the blue… Why did our cute little kitten get this disease…
During that time, Lailai was so listless that it was really worrying. I was afraid that she would leave me at any time… Wuwuwu… Now we give her injections every day, and little Lailai has gotten much better. She can even catch flies now. Hahaha
The treatment for feline infectious peritonitis is ongoing. We’ll both keep fighting.

It’s been 11 days since Lailai started the FIP injections. Lailai is like a poop – producing machine every day. She poops a big pile each time, almost filling a basin… She eats two cans of cat food a day, plus cat food kibbles and freeze – dried food. Oh my god, I’m going to the doctor’s to give her an injection tonight and buy her a can of milk powder by the way… I guess this little chubby cat will poop even more. Sigh
