My friend sent me this post, so I’ll just talk a bit casually. If you, the readers, are happy, just take it as a bit of fun. If you don’t like it, just click the “X” button directly.
First of all, among cats with “blue cat” as the variety, there is only the Russian Blue. Others are just blue – colored cats of certain breeds.
Secondly, I won’t say much about breed identification. Currently, the mainstream organizations are CFA and TICA. Whether a blue cat is a British Shorthair blue cat or something else, just look at the certificate. The purpose of saying this is to hope that everyone either adopts a cat instead of buying one, or buys a cat from a regular cattery. At least the appearance, health, and after – sales service are guaranteed.
Personally, I prefer the Russian Blue. Different from other blue – colored cats, the coat color of the Russian Blue is inclined to be silver – bright. Their eye color is green, and their body shape is a slender oriental type. Some have a smiling mouth corner, and some have bright and determined eyes.
There is a saying in the industry: If the Abyssinian is the passionate sun, then the Russian Blue is the elegant and mysterious moon.

The Russian Blue is like a cold – tempered elf in mythology, or a fairy in the Moon Palace who is detached from the mortal world.
It looks like it’s too lofty to be approachable. Yes, it’s just a look. In terms of character, it has no difference from thousands of other cats. It will roll over and show its belly to act cute towards people, lazily squint its eyes in the sun, and even run around the house like a ninja on its own.
In sufficient light, the fur of the Russian Blue shines with a silver – cold luster.
At night, with fully dilated pupils, the Russian Blue uses its big, fan – like eyes to pour out its heart to the owner.
As a breed that entered China relatively late, the Russian Blue has never been too popular in China.
It clearly has an extremely ethereal appearance, but every time I go to the hospital or post photos, someone will say that your British Shorthair is a bit thin ~ (So annoying!)
So here I introduce it to everyone again: The Russian Blue, the only breed named “blue cat”.
FIN.
The intimacy of two Russian Blues. The “dog – food – giving” siblings, Nia & Melo. The owner is a fan of “Xiaoceshi Zai Renjian”.
