I have a silver shaded British Shorthair, a blue British Shorthair, two orange cats, and six little blue – colored British Shorthair kittens at home. Because taking care of them was tiring, I opened a pet store.
I opened this store right after the epidemic situation improved. I’ve also taken care of various types of cats. Among them, it can be said that the blue British Shorthair has the best personality among British Shorthairs, although there are exceptions. (My friend sold a blue British Shorthair. When it was sent to me for some reason, it was extremely aggressive and would scratch anyone it saw.)
However, most blue British Shorthairs are very cute and clingy. Silver shaded British Shorthairs and blue – and – white British Shorthairs are mostly the same, being aloof and lazy (although every cat becomes lazy when it grows up).

In terms of physical fitness, without any external factors, the physical constitution of blue British Shorthairs is much better than that of silver shaded British Shorthairs (but in the face of feline panleukopenia, feline parvovirus, and cat ringworm, all cats are equal).
If you are a person who values appearance, I would recommend silver shaded British Shorthairs. Their blue or green eyes are more charming. Personally, I prefer the gradient coat color of silver shaded British Shorthairs. But if you want to raise a silver shaded British Shorthair, you must be mentally prepared!
It sheds severely!!
It sheds severely!!
It sheds severely!!
I repeat the important thing three times. If you can’t stand the pain of using a vacuum cleaner to suck up hair every day and wiping the bed sheets with a wet towel, never raise a silver shaded British Shorthair or any long – haired cat. It’s better to raise a blue British Shorthair. From washing various cats, I’ve concluded that among most cats I’ve seen, except for some individuals, blue British Shorthairs shed the least.
Let’s summarize the advantages and disadvantages of blue British Shorthairs and silver shaded British Shorthairs.
Blue British Shorthairs: They have a clingy and lively personality. Their physical fitness as kittens is relatively good. If you like red or orange eyes, their eyes are also a major highlight. The disadvantage is that their appearance is slightly less satisfactory.
Silver shaded British Shorthairs: They have an aloof and somewhat arrogant personality. Their physical fitness is not as good as that of blue British Shorthairs. Their deep turquoise eyes are very charming (for some individuals or silver – tipped shaded cats, the eyes are light blue to ordinary blue, like “there are stars and the sea in my eyes”). Their fur is slightly longer than that of blue British Shorthairs. Coupled with the fact that they shed hair twice a year, and each shedding period lasts for half a year, they are called “walking dandelions”.
Of course, cat lovers don’t distinguish between breeds. Whether it’s a silver shaded British Shorthair, a blue British Shorthair, or other various types of cats, as long as you take good care of them, they will show you their cutest sides.
