The Pros and Cons of Bichon Frises: Appearance, Coat, and Care

The most prominent advantage of Bichon Frises is definitely their appearance. They are so good – looking. Besides their good looks, well, the main thing is that they don’t shed. Unlike some dogs that shed during certain seasons, Bichon Frises avoid the situation of dog hair flying all over the house. If you’ve never raised a medium – to – large – sized long – haired and curly – haired dog, you can’t even imagine that I could find dog hair in my food while eating. Hahaha. And the most amazing thing is that after running a kennel for a few years, I can calmly pick out the dog hair and then continue eating my meal.

Some people might find it really disgusting. Can it really reach such an extent? Well, for people with severe obsessive – compulsive disorder about cleanliness, if you raise a long – haired dog that sheds, either you give the dog away or you completely get rid of your cleanliness habit.

Now, let’s talk about its disadvantages. If you don’t take good care of a Bichon Frise, it may have serious tear stains. Also, it may suffer from some joint diseases. Moreover, it’s not stain – resistant. The understanding of the term “stain – resistant” depends on your perspective. In fact, it’s about your own tolerance, right?

For a white puppy, it’s normal that it’s not stain – resistant. It’s like wearing a white dress today. It’s less stain – resistant than a black dress yesterday. The point is, once it gets dirty, it’s dirty, right? When it gets dirty, you should wash and clean it. We can say that Bichon Frises have relatively high requirements for the living environment. If your home is clean, then the Bichon Frise will also be relatively clean, right?
