I really have a deep understanding of this. First, tell me, in your case, is it the human or the dog that’s gone crazy?
In my case, both I and the dog have gone a little crazy, haha~~
My Golden Retriever is four months old now. I just gave it a scolding a while ago. It’s simply a master of destruction!!
Actually, those who have raised Golden Retrievers must have gone through this. There’s a saying that goes, a Golden Retriever is like a Husky before it turns one year old, and only after that will it gradually transform from a bully into an angel. I’ve been raising my Golden Retriever since it was over one month old, so I can fully understand this feeling. We’re experiencing the same kind of situation.
I remember when it was two months old, one night I saw it was asleep, so I didn’t close the cage. The next morning when I woke up, I was shocked. The house was in a mess. The trash can was turned upside down, and there were my shoes and paper everywhere. Let me show you the video:

At that moment, I felt my blood pressure soaring. I even suspected that I had a fake Golden Retriever. The Teddy I raised before wasn’t this naughty!! Everything in my house that could be chewed or not, as long as it was within its reach, was not spared. I had only one pot of pothos at home, and it was completely ruined by the dog. I haven’t planted any flowers since then. I know any new flowers would just meet the same fate. I’d better take good care of this little “ancestor” first~~~
I also want to complain about my Golden Retriever. It’s such a greedy glutton. Because I gave it a little snack once before, it remembered. Now, as long as it hears the sound of a plastic bag, it will follow me around. No matter what time it is, the plastic bag can’t make a sound. The sound of a plastic bag is more effective than calling it. The same thing happens outside. As long as it sees someone carrying a plastic bag, it will run after them eagerly. I think it only recognizes food, not people, haha~~
When I train it, it’s the same. If it sees there’s food in my hand, it will sit when I tell it to. But if it sees there’s no food in my hand, nothing I say works. I wonder if your Golden Retriever is like this too?
However, I always believe that one day my Golden Retriever will turn into an angel. For now, I can only endure its naughtiness. Don’t go crazy just yet. Maybe there will be pleasant surprises later, right???
Since we’ve chosen this furry kid, let’s raise it well. Let’s cheer up together!!!
