Debunking the Prejudice Against Teddy Dogs: Traits and Realities

There are far too many prejudices against Teddy dogs online. Although I don’t own a Teddy myself, many of my friends do, and some have other breeds of dogs as well.

After making comparisons, I’ve found that Teddy dogs are truly very intelligent. They’re like little human – like spirits, being extremely good at reading people’s expressions, which is what we call being spiritual. Moreover, Teddy dogs are highly dependent on their owners and show great loyalty.

For owners, having a Teddy dog is like having a little “cotton – padded jacket”. They’re worry – free and don’t cause much trouble. Also, Teddy dogs don’t shed and have no unpleasant odor. Even if you’re negligent in grooming them, they won’t look too bad.

However, this breed also has its drawbacks:

Bullying with the backing of the owner: This is a common problem among small – bodied dogs. Due to their small size, they make a lot of noise. They bark wildly at other dogs, but as soon as the owner is not around, they tuck their tails between their legs and don’t even dare to make a sound.

Excessive humping behavior: In fact, many dogs have this humping behavior, but why does the Teddy dog have the nickname “humping – everything Teddy”? First, there are just so many people raising Teddy dogs, so there are more chances to see them humping. Second, this breed really seems to enjoy humping other dogs! (I have a Bichon Frisé. When I took it to a friend’s house, it was chased all around the house by my friend’s Teddy. The Teddy always tried to hump my Bichon. It seems that whenever it sees another dog, it wants to hump it.)

Actually, this humping behavior is a kind of dominance – asserting behavior among dogs. It’s like saying, “I’ve dominated you today, so you’re mine now and you have to listen to me from now on.”

These two points are the most criticized aspects of Teddy dogs online. But not all Teddy dogs are like this. Generally, the smaller the Teddy dog, the stronger its sense of dominance and the more it likes to bark. Larger – sized ones are more composed.

Each dog has its own personality. Whether a dog is well – behaved or not depends on the owner’s training.

As a popular pet dog breed, it’s not really surprising that Teddy dogs are liked. They’re intelligent, considerate, and easy to take care of. What’s not to like?
