Mint: The Charming Tabby Cat and Our Fateful Bond

Mint: The Charming Tabby Cat and Our Fateful Bond

It’s all about fate…

I want to tell the story of our Mint.

Mint was born by a wild cat outside our house. That summer, there was a lot of rain, and the mother cat couldn’t handle seven or eight kittens. One day, when my husband came home from school, he saw a black – and – white cat meowing loudly at our door. Later, we found a litter of kittens that hadn’t opened their eyes yet, meowing non – stop, in a wooden box under an electrical box nearby. Mint was the smallest one. By then, we had already fished out six or seven kittens, and we were excitedly taking pictures beside them. My husband thought there might be more, and then he found a kitten sleeping deep inside. Later, we decided to raise this one.

He really loves to sleep. Maybe due to poor nutrition from a young age, while the seven or eight kittens were playing around, he would follow them. If you didn’t pay attention to where he was, he’d just fall asleep.

When the kittens first came, they didn’t know how to eat. They wouldn’t drink milk from a small bowl, so we had to buy a baby bottle and feed them ourselves. At this time, we were gradually finding owners for the kittens because we really couldn’t take care of so many.

Later, when Mint grew a bit older and could eat kitten – specific cat food, we had an easier time. But Mint still loved sleeping.

Just like that, while playing on the sofa, he could lie back and fall asleep.

He was so soft and cute when he was little!

The one playing with Mint was his older brother, Blacky, a little black cat. The younger brother would lie on his older brother’s body and sleep.

When Blacky wasn’t around, Mint could also find a crack in the sofa and sleep soundly. I have a lot of recordings of him snoring. Haha.

The half – asleep Mint was the most fun. With sleepy eyes, he would let you do whatever you wanted with him.

Sleeping in a daze (he always had to have a blanket that I used to cover myself with when sleeping. He would arrange it and hug it to sleep).

The hand is still the same hand, but Mint has transformed from a cute young cat to a middle – aged “uncle”.

Hugging the blanket to sleep.

Mint’s good friend is Lava.

Mint loves bow ties, especially red ones.

After spending two weeks of vacation alone, Mint was full of loneliness.

To make it up to him, I took his first photo shoot.

Mint also loves to act cute and be affectionate.

He still sleeps in all kinds of positions.

Deep down, he’s a little prince.

Jealous when with his little friend.

Mint loves to eat watermelons, peaches, and apples. Yes, he’s a cat who loves fruits and vegetables. While other cats would be scared and jump up if you threw a cucumber behind them, he would be so happy that he’d jump up and start nibbling on the cucumber when you threw one behind him. He ate countless succulents of mine. After that, I could only grow cacti. He also nibbled on every flower I bought…

However, life has had many heart – warming moments because of Mint. For example, waking up at night and finding this guy sleeping soundly beside you; when having a meal, this guy looking eagerly at the food in your bowl; when getting up in the morning, this guy acting cute to beg for food; when eating fruits, giving him a small piece, and both of you munching together. A tabby cat is the kind of cat that accompanies you in life. Raised simply, but lives well.
