The baby has grown up. It will be one year old next month. It was sterilized just before the Spring Festival, and now it’s on the way to becoming a chubby cat~(o^^o)
We love sunbathing the most!
To save this baby.
I’ve always been feeding stray cats in a small park near my home. In May, a little tabby cat suddenly appeared. It was probably new to this strange world and came to this strange place alone. It was very timid, but it would remember the place where I fed it. Every evening, it would wait for me on a small stone. I fed it like this for three months. The baby grew up and wasn’t as afraid of people anymore. It would play with leaves and run around with the other big cats in the park. Sometimes, it would lie on the path in the park, roll over with its belly up, and play with the visitors. It was so small and extremely cute! It especially loved chicken breast and small cans of cat food. I always left the most for it.

But at the end of August, when I went to feed it one day, I found that it was limping and couldn’t even jump onto the small stone platform where I usually fed it. After checking, I found that its hind leg was a bit swollen. I thought that if it was still the same the next day, I would take it to the hospital. But the next day, no matter how much I called it, it didn’t show up. I couldn’t find it in the surrounding bamboo forests and small woods either. Was it too painful to move? Or what happened? I was looking for it while regretting not taking it to the hospital. I didn’t sleep well that night, worrying about it a lot…
The next morning, I went to the park to look for it with a cat carrier, cat food, cat cans, and snacks. I didn’t find it at 8 o’clock, nor at 12 o’clock, nor at 5 pm, and still not at 10 pm. Another whole day passed!
I found it at around 9 am on the third day. It couldn’t walk anymore. Its leg was swollen from the thigh to the foot. I immediately rushed it to the hospital. After taking an X – ray, there was no fracture, but the inflammation was extremely high. It had to be hospitalized and have an IV drip immediately. We could only reduce the inflammation first and then see how it developed. The doctor said that if it was one day later, it might not have survived…
I accompanied it throughout the X – ray, examination, hospitalization, and IV drip. The little tabby cat didn’t make a sound and cooperated with the doctor for the examination and treatment. Perhaps it also wanted to stay in this world!
Preparing for the examination and X – ray in the hospital. It slept for a while while waiting for the results.
It was so obedient.
On the third morning of the IV drip, the doctor found that there was pus under the skin, so it was cut open and a lot of pus was drained…
It looked so painful, but it still didn’t make a fuss. It just groaned a couple of times when it hurt.
So, with daily drainage and IV drips, the indicators finally returned to normal after ten days. But the doctor said that the leg couldn’t be completely normal because of the infection. It could walk without any problem, but it would affect its ability to jump high and climb trees.
So my husband and I discussed and decided to keep it! As a stray cat, it wouldn’t be able to compete with others… (At that time, the hair on its leg was shaved, and there were four or five drainage openings)
Looking at its pleading little eyes, I felt so heart – broken.
So we brought it home. Now we have another little tabby sister. Life at home has been full of joy since then~
Sleeping with its elder brother and younger sister!
It still loves meat the most. Even when it’s sleeping, as long as it hears a noise from the storage box, it can be the first to rush over. It’s such a clever baby!
