My precious cat is already one and a half years old. It’s a delicate little “princess” (a male cat being affectionately called this), extremely talkative, and has been full of drama since it was a kitten. People affectionately call it “Drama Queen”.
Its official name is Zongzi, and the nickname is Zongzong. When it does something bad, it’s called “Shit – Zong” – this name has a story, which I’ll tell you later.
I’ve always wanted to adopt a kitten but just couldn’t find the right one. You know, fate is really a mysterious thing. God seems to have arranged a kitten for everyone who wants to keep one. If you’re still just admiring cats online, it must mean that your fateful encounter hasn’t come yet!
The first time I saw Zongzong was in a friend’s WeChat Moments. A litter of kittens was looking for adoption. The first picture was of a little Dragon Li cat pooping. Now that I think about it… perhaps “Shit – Zong” had an indissoluble bond with poop from that moment…

Although that action wasn’t very elegant, I fell in love with this little kitten at the first sight. Whether it was a male or female cat, I decided it was the one! I quickly contacted my friend, rushed to the pet store where it was temporarily fostered, and took little Zongzong away. I was in such a hurry that I even borrowed the cat carrier from my friend. According to the pet store owner, this little one was a little bully. It had to be the first to eat the cat food. If it wasn’t full, no one else could eat. And it even slept on top of its siblings. I was secretly happy. A little bully was good. It must be getting all the good nutrition.
This was when I just bought the cage. It was almost the only time it slept in the nest. Usually, it would lie on top of the nest…
Can you find me? Hahaha
The potential of being a drama – lover showed up when it was very young. Outside the cage was my friend’s cat named Sanjin, with an extremely good – natured personality, almost like a “dad” to Zongzong.
Zongzong: Watch me dodge and move! Take this!
Sanjin: I’ll just quietly watch you show off.
(Here’s the explanation of how the name “Shit – Zong” came about. Because of my long working hours, I often got home very late, and sometimes I didn’t clean the litter box in time. Once when I got home and looked into the cage… Oh my goodness, it was playing with a poop ball! It got poop everywhere!!! Ahhhh!!! That’s how this name came about during my outburst.)
It grew up pretty fast and soon entered the awkward stage. It was so ugly that I could hardly look at it. Every day, it ran around like a big rat.
But now it has regained the appearance of a beautiful “lady”. Although it still can’t compare to its peak cuteness when it was a kitten, and some angles make it look a bit like an old man. Time really is a ruthless cutter…
It also loves to talk to me, skillfully using various rising and falling tones, and is very fond of acting coquettishly. The reputation of Dragon Li cats being talkative is really well – deserved. When it was a kitten, it got cat plague. It suddenly vomited severely at home, and then it called out to me in the living room. The meowing was so painful that I could tell it was different from usual. Because it was in the early stage of cat plague, the virus load was relatively low, and the test strip couldn’t detect it. We had to do a PCR test to confirm the diagnosis. I took time off to accompany it for fluid infusion, injections, and feeding medicine. My boyfriend even bought a camera so that we could monitor it while we were at work and respond in case of any emergencies. But because we treated it early, it recovered quickly, within 3 – 5 days.
Ever since I started raising it, I’ve been obsessed with “cat – sniffing” all kinds of Dragon Li cats. I have a great affection for Dragon Li cats. It feels like I’m addicted~~~
