I just gave it a spanking. When I touch it, it bites me with its mouth and doesn’t let me pet it at all. When I lie still, it becomes interested in my feet and comes to “challenge” them. After a few slaps, it loses its bravado.
When I picked it up, it was probably only one or two months old. I met it at the subway entrance after work. Several people were around feeding it chicken cutlets. It ate voraciously. It must have been really hungry. Later, I asked around, but no one was willing to take it home. When everyone left and I was the only one left, I found a KFC bag and took it home.
When it first arrived home, it was very shy and would specifically hide in the corners. I often couldn’t find it, which made me quite nervous.

However, when it was a kitten, it was clingy and didn’t try to bite, at least not seriously. The so – called “kneading” behavior appeared once like a flash in the pan, and I’ve never experienced that again.
As it grew a bit older, apart from not allowing me to pet it, it was quite obedient in other ways. But it was just too active, running around all day long, from the living room to the bedroom and back. It seemed a bit neurotic, being curious about everything: plastic bags, wires, paper boxes, flowers, plants, and even its own tail.
The most amazing time was when it almost climbed to the ceiling along the window screen. It was truly a “god”. That’s how it got its current name: Gecko. It really seems like it wants to reach the sky.
A few days ago, when I was shopping in a home – goods supermarket, I saw a woven basket that I really liked, so I bought it for it to use as a nest. It seems to like it a lot, looking very enjoying, as if it’s taking a bath.
One amazing thing is its harmonious co – existence with the fish I raise. From being curious and peeking at first, to later getting along peacefully, it even drinks water from the fish tank every day. I guess the fish must be terrified.
Occasionally, it looks preoccupied, staring intently out of the window. Since it was picked up from the outside, it has never gone out of the house. I don’t know if it still remembers the outside world. Maybe it misses it.
It also does some inexplicable actions and poses in various ways, which can be really funny.
Because it wakes up early and starts making noise as soon as it wakes up, on weekdays, I usually don’t allow it to sleep in my bedroom. I want to sleep a little longer. But it still wants to sleep with me. Every night, it scratches the door for a while before going to sleep. On weekends, I make an exception and let it sleep wherever it wants. That’s why there are the unrestrained sleeping postures as follows.
When it’s probably tired from playing, it sleeps as if no one else is around, with a purring snore that somehow makes people feel at ease. Indeed, it’s getting late at night.
