I’ve raised no less than ten native Chinese cats.
The conclusion I’ve drawn is as follows:
They are easy to raise, not picky eaters. They only eat cat food and are not interested in human food. They don’t meow randomly and are basically quiet. They don’t get sick easily and don’t shed much hair.
However, there are drawbacks.
I’ve raised two Dragon Li cats. The first one, because it was too naughty, played with a laundry bag when I was out. It got tangled in the thread that came out and died. When I got home, I was in floods of tears. (It was three months old at that time.)
The second one, which I’m raising now, is over a year old. It’s still very lively, jumping around all the time, but at the same time, it’s very clingy. It gets timid when it goes to a strange environment.

Let me mention that all the cats I’ve raised were adopted. It’s all about fate. They weren’t given to me by friends. I rescued them when they were being abused by naughty children, or I picked them up from places like trash cans or highways.
The current Dragon Li cat was picked up next to a restaurant (a barbecue stand). It was only two months old at that time. The restaurant owner kicked it because it was begging for food.
Later, I asked the restaurant owner if it was a stray cat, and he said yes. So I picked it up. Otherwise, I was afraid it would be kicked to death. (As told by my boyfriend)
Probably because it likes to jump around,
it’s very sturdy.
It currently weighs more than ten pounds.
In addition,
it has a “boyfriend – like” demeanor, being loyal like a dog.
It likes to quietly guard me when I’m taking a bath,
waiting outside the door~
Sometimes it peeks, but it’s just a little male cat, so it’s okay~
Actually, I don’t know much about cats, but the Dragon Li cat I’m raising is really like this.
The change it has brought to my life is that I know there’s a cat waiting for me at home. There’s a bond and a sense of concern.
On some festivals when I don’t want to be alone but am by myself, I tell myself that at least I have it.
I hope it will be with me for the rest of my life.
Of course, I felt the same way about the other cats I’ve raised, but most of them were given away in the end.
