After being neutered, Uncle (my cat) has become much more affectionate and closer to humans. Recently, he’s developed a new skill – he can semi – understand commands. Although he doesn’t always follow his “mother’s” intentions completely, it’s still enough to bring tears of joy to my eyes.
I went home for the New Year and miss my dear Uncle Ծ‸Ծ. I hope he eats well, poops well, and sleeps well at the foster home.

Here are some pictures of my Uncle:
Since he was a kitten, he’s had a loud voice. He could keep shouting at the top of his lungs for an hour without stopping. Thanks to this, I was able to find him abandoned in a corner.
When he first came home, he weighed only 300 grams. He was as small as a mouse, and even the pet store owner had trouble telling whether he was male or female, this little Dragon Li cat.

Then he just ate a lot and was very naughty.
Thus began a long journey of wits between us.
From three to six months old, he was so fast that every photo I took of him was blurry. I remember that during the World Cup at that time, my boyfriend and I were watching the games and chatting, while Uncle was dashing around the room with his bell – ball at lightning speed. I could only sigh in silence about the powerlessness of humans…
As he got a bit older, his face grew. Wow! I just realized how expressive he is, and he always acts as showy as possible!
At that time, being clingy was out of the question. Was the cat food not delicious? Was the plastic bag not fun? Why would he want to be clingy?
In order to fulfill my original intention of raising him – being able to pet him, I had to start a long – term battle, which was… The making of a “fat lazy cat”.
And finally, I could pet the cat!
When he was eight months old, Uncle entered puberty. In the middle of winter, he started to feel amorous. But there were no other cats in his “territory”. This guy actually started pouring out his endless feelings to the mirror every day!
During this amorous period, he spent his days either eating or looking in the mirror. Oh, and he also refused to use the litter box properly. No matter how much I reflected on and improved his litter – box environment, no matter how earnestly I persuaded him or how angrily I scolded him, he always pooped a foot away from the litter box on the ground.
Fine! Forget about whether he’ll develop jowls or not. Neutering is the only way to solve this problem.
The operation was painful, but it was short – lived. It was so short that he only lay there for about a minute! Then he stood up! Maybe neutering was like having too much catnip for him!
After the operation, he ate, slept, and was melancholy as usual.
Three days later, he was free from the troubles of growing up.
Surprisingly, after neutering, his temperament reverted back to that of a kitten overnight! He became as curious about his long – lived environment as a kitten, chasing after everything that moved.
Well, let us accompany this ten – pound giant “kitten” to grow up again, and hope he never has to grow up completely! Such is the feeling of being a “cat – mom”.
