The Stories of My Cats JOJO and Caesar: From Adoption to Daily Life

Oh, by the way, my JOJO has a special skill. He can stop people from arguing.

Whenever the family members talk to each other a bit impatiently, JOJO will definitely interfere, meowing to stop the quarrel. If people don’t listen to him, he’ll tug at their trouser legs.

Our family hasn’t had an argument for a long time…

Then, seeing all the likes, thanks and comments under this answer makes me really touched. Because when I often post pictures of my two cats, people usually focus on Caesar (the “coal-mining” stereotype of Siamese cats has a long history and their blue eyes look so photogenic). But under this answer, JOJO has got more attention than his brother for the first time. As their “mother”, I’m really pleased.

I don’t know how to repay you all. I can only wish everyone to find their beloved cats as soon as possible.

Third update:

Suddenly, I realized that the questioner asked about how we got our cats. This is really something worth talking about.

Before having JOJO, I picked up a cat, named Da Qiao (yes, there was a Da Qiao). I found her on a small path beside the flower, bird, fish and insect market. On the day I picked her up, she pooped in the car. Once we got home, she hid under the sofa and wouldn’t come out.

Sadly, less than a week later, she started vomiting green liquid. We sent her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with feline distemper. She didn’t survive more than three days after being hospitalized and went back to the cat heaven.

Later, I figured out that she was probably thrown away by the cat dealer because she was unhealthy.

Although I didn’t spend much time with her, it was my first time facing death directly and I was extremely devastated. I was even a bit mentally unstable for a while.

Then, I wanted to find another cat to fill the void in my heart. So, I searched for a suitable cat on Xianyu.

And then I met JOJO. His former owner was a programmer. JOJO was the kitten of his friend’s cat. He was three months old at that time. The programmer guy lived just one street away from my home. Because his landlord didn’t allow cats or dogs, he made the difficult decision to give JOJO away (the guy named him Java, hahahaha).

After passing the guy’s “interview”, the programmer was actually very reluctant to let JOJO go. He planned to let JOJO come home with me a week later.

Considering my mental state at that time, after spending one night with JOJO to say goodbye, I got a new cat the next day~

Caesar was also adopted.

A friend of mine had a new girlfriend who was allergic to cats. He was too lazy to sell Caesar, so I paid for the shipping cost and then I had two cats~
