My Beloved Dragon Li Cat, Mid-Autumn: A Heartwarming Story

My Beloved Dragon Li Cat, Mid-Autumn: A Heartwarming Story

I have a ten-month-old Dragon Li cat at home. He’s extremely cute and especially naughty. I named him Mid-Autumn. He was picked up by my friend from a garbage dump. When my friend found him, he couldn’t even walk. My friend held him in his arms and fed him goat milk every day. As soon as he learned to walk, my friend gave him to me (because my friend already had a cat and had limited financial resources). When I went to pick him up, the bus didn’t allow cats, so I carried him in my pocket and brought him back.

On the first day he came to my house, he was so adorable. See the picture below.

Since he had been taken care of since he was little, he wasn’t afraid of people. When he came to my house, he wasn’t nervous at all. After I told him where the litter box and the feeding place were, I didn’t need to worry about him. Every night, he must sleep with people. Of course, in the middle of winter, he was so small that I wouldn’t feel at ease if I didn’t let him sleep with me.

Probably after a month of raising him, he started to gain weight gradually.

Of course, he also started to be naughty. He was really, really naughty, with endless energy, day and night.

He also had cute and silly moments.

After that, he started to tear up the house. One day when I came home from work, the whole area from the balcony to the living room was full of water, and the sofa was soaked. The reason was that he had turned on the faucet of the mop sink on the balcony and didn’t know how to turn it off. As a result, the water had been running all afternoon. At the moment I got home, I really wanted to kill him. But when I saw him meowing in the corner, I couldn’t bear to. I can’t find the picture of the disaster scene. You can imagine it yourself.

Because of his naughtiness, he had been spanked a lot, but he never mended his ways.

One day, a big orange cat came to my house.

In the first few days, they were unfriendly to each other. It took a week for them to be at peace.

Later, the big orange cat saw that Mid-Autumn was timid and bullied him, beat him, and pooped everywhere to grab territory. Mid-Autumn was hesitant for a while. So I found a good family and sent the big orange cat away (the big orange cat was picked up by my colleague and given to me to raise). When the big orange cat was there, Mid-Autumn was always in such an emotional state. I couldn’t bear it.

Here are some updated recent pictures.

By the way, he’s ten months old and almost ten pounds. He’s really easy to raise. He eats cat food and doesn’t eat human food and meals. He loves cat cookies and salmon shreds. He doesn’t eat raw meat or fish, nor chicken or duck. He only eats special cat food. Once I bought Teddy’s ham for him, but he wouldn’t take a single bite. When I changed it to special cat ham, he ate several pieces a day. I’m a nobody on Zhihu. I couldn’t hold back my urge and wanted to share my little baby. Hehe, that’s it.

I just want to say, Mommy loves you ❤ (blushing)

The group photo of the big orange cat and Mid-Autumn.

It’s been a month since the big orange cat left. I kind of miss her. But I heard that she’s living well in her new owner’s house. I hope she doesn’t blame me.

Those who raise cats at home must pay more attention to the health of male cats. Mid-Autumn got a urinary tract infection after the Chinese New Year. If I had sent him to the hospital a little later, he might have died. He stayed in the hospital for a week and was saved. So far, it hasn’t recurred. When he was in the hospital, he lost several pounds. Now he’s recuperating and has gained back to nine pounds.

Mid-Autumn is currently in good health and runs around the house like a fool every day.
