My Experience of Adopting a Cat: Love Knows No Breed

My Experience of Adopting a Cat: Love Knows No Breed

Firstly, this is also my first time raising a cat. I think as long as you are a responsible person, it would be better to ask people around you who raise cats scientifically when you start. Acquire some knowledge first and then do scientific feeding. For example, feed kitten goat milk instead of cow milk as cats can’t absorb starch.

You also need to figure out which brand of cat food is good for your cat, and then prepare a series of things like cat litter, litter box and cat food. As for the cat, if you want an easy-going one, British Shorthair is a good choice. It’s clingy, doesn’t tear up the house and is relatively gentle. (Nowadays, many people like to raise Silver Shaded and Golden Shaded cats.

They do look nice and have good temperaments, and the prices aren’t extremely high either.) American Shorthair is more lively and active, jumping up and down, and some even chew on earphones. Ragdoll cats are generally more expensive. Their long hair tends to shed everywhere, but with their angelic looks, I don’t think anyone can resist them.

My cat was given to me by someone else. It’s a British Shorthair Bicolor Van with light Calico pattern. Except for its head and tail which have the calico colors, most of its body is white. Its face pattern looks like the masked Black Cat Sheriff, haha. But it’s a little girl. Originally, I also wanted to raise a Silver Shaded cat. But then I thought that life is long and it’s fate that a cat comes into your life on its own. If I treat her well, how could she let me down? So I accepted her regardless of the breed.

When Hua Qianqian came home, she was already one year old. Although adult cats don’t need as much care as kittens, their personalities are basically formed and they tend to be more defensive when changing environments. Her former owner told me that she was a soft girl, but as soon as she entered my home, she hid. When she came out two days later, her eyes were full of hostility. She looked unhappy and wouldn’t let anyone touch her.

She really had a grumpy face. In the early days at home, she didn’t eat well and shed fur like crazy.

After she got familiar with the environment, she became cuter and cuter.

By this time, she had lost her wariness.

Sometimes when I woke up, I’d find her butt on my face (she was getting bolder).

She’d also be curious about everything. If she didn’t get food, she’d grumble. When she was comfortable, she’d lie sprawled out asking you to scratch her belly.

She looks so cute when sleeping. You just love your own cat no matter what.

All in all, I think no matter what the breed is, once you raise it, you’ll fall in love with it.
