The Stray Cat and Her Kittens at the Workplace

There is a stray cat in our unit. When it was only as big as a palm, it somehow came to our place. Some of our colleagues who have cats at home feed it cat food and cat treats, and the others feed it casually when they have meals in the cafeteria. Usually, it wanders around different offices. It loves ham sausages and has even learned to catch mice all by itself.

At first, it was quite afraid of people. We had to put the food down before it would come to eat. Later, it became so arrogant that it would follow people to ask for food. If it didn’t get any, it would even grumble.

In winter, it would choose the office it liked and stay there, even lying on the chair to sleep.

Last Spring Festival, it was in its best condition, reaching its peak in terms of appearance.

Now, being spoiled by everyone, it only likes to eat cat treats and even looks down upon the meat cooked in the cafeteria.

After the Spring Festival, we suddenly found out that it was pregnant. Everyone said it was the doing of a rather wretched white cat that occasionally appeared nearby. I used to think that cats couldn’t be that ugly, but when I saw that white cat, it was really something. Its figure was not graceful, its white fur was not pure, there were black spots on its body, and there was a black patch under its nose. Sure enough, among the five kittens born to this beautiful cat mother, none of them could match her in appearance.

The kittens more or less had the features of their father on their faces, with unevenly distributed small black patches.

The cat mother is very responsible. Seeing that we were visiting the kittens non – stop, it carried them back to the nest one by one.

Now the kittens are over 3 months old, and they still nurse from time to time.

Although they are all relatively small and thin, they are very naughty, running around everywhere. The mother cat watches them from a distance. I don’t know when they will grow up and start to venture out into the world.

This seems to be the most good – looking kitten.

The kittens have grown a bit, and they seem to be getting uglier.

Finally, I managed to take a photo of the wretched white cat. It was very alert. This photo was taken with a 50 – times zoom.
