Dragon Li cats are native purebred cats in China. Their international name still uses the Chinese name and pronunciation, “Chinese Li Hua Mao”. The most well-known story related to them is probably the “Substituting a Leopard Cat for the Crown Prince” (in the Song Dynasty), which is also the earliest record of Dragon Li cats that can be found.
Dragon Li cats have survived the natural selection of numerous breeds over thousands of years. Due to the long period of natural evolution, their genes are nearly perfect.
