My First Experience with Raising a Dragon Li Cat, Lude

My First Experience with Raising a Dragon Li Cat, Lude

I’m a first – time pet owner. One day, when I was going home, I saw my cat lying on the stairs at the entrance. I live alone, and at that time, I was in a bad mood and mental state. So, I just brought her home without much thought.

The First Meeting

After some brief consideration, I decided to keep her. When I first brought her home, she wasn’t very afraid of people. Instead, she was quite clingy to me. When I stroked her head, she would knead, and her body was clean. I guessed she was a kitten abandoned by someone. I learned some cat – related knowledge later. At that time, she already knew some skills for socializing with humans.

When confined, she acts cute.

That night, I went to a nearby pet store and bought cat food and cat litter. My girlfriend named her Lude. It’s a rather straightforward name for a girl.

The Kitten Stage: Very Clingy

I haven’t been raising her for a long time, only about 4 months. I guess Lude is around 5 – 7 months old. As a bit of a perfectionist, I’ve been trying to learn all kinds of cat – related knowledge, either by reading popular science materials or asking advice from friends who have cats.

Lying on her back and licking my fingers was a daily occurrence when she was little.

After raising her for about three months, when Lude got familiar with the environment and me, her personality started to change. The wild nature of the Dragon Li cat became prominent. She jumps up and down, is curious about everything, and is somewhat destructive.

The Death Gaze?

Regarding cat food, it’s better to choose well – known brands. I suggest buying small packages of different kinds to try first. Palatability is a real factor. At first, I bought a less – known brand, and she ate it with gusto, but her feces were a bit loose. So, reluctantly, I bought a more expensive well – known brand. Her feces improved significantly, but Lude didn’t like it. Instead, she lost some weight. I plan to finish this big bag and then try something else.

A Standard Sleeping Position for Dragon Li Cats?

Dragon Li cats have a lot of energy. It’s a good idea to buy more small toys, especially cat teaser wands. The more you play with your cat, the less trouble she’ll cause.

A Maiden’s Prayer

For me, in terms of the cat’s health, Dragon Li cats are quite worry – free. Buying some well – known brand nutritional products or referring to highly – praised answers about cat – raising on Zhihu can be very helpful. When I’m at work or playing games, she can be a bit annoying as she tries to get my attention or wants me to play with her. So, it’s best to play with her when I have free time.

To sum up, Dragon Li cats are easy to raise.
