Xiaoman, My Extraordinary Dragon Li Cat

Xiaoman, My Extraordinary Dragon Li Cat

Xiaoman is a Dragon Li cat. I got her from my friend’s house and started raising her when she was 1 month old. She is the first cat in my life. Everyone who has seen her says that this cat is like a little genius.

How smart is she?

Always responsive to her name. Since she was little, she has known her name. Even if I call Xiaoman softly from a distance, she will come running over.

Once, she sneaked out of the house but didn’t dare to go far. She crouched under a spare table beside the corridor at the door for over 20 minutes. I called Xiaoman in the corridor, and she immediately responded to me in a very aggrieved tone.

Now every night, I have to call Xiaoman in a coquettish voice and then listen to her answer me with a sweet meow before I can go to sleep peacefully.

She never lets anyone other than me hold her. She is very cautious. When outsiders come to the house, they rarely get to see Xiaoman. During the Spring Festival, I hired someone to come and feed the cat. After feeding for half a month, the guy finally saw Xiaoman on the last visit.

The young man who fed the cat was extremely excited.

But Xiaoman can clearly distinguish me. When I came back after being away for half a month, she realized it was me and quickly rushed over for hugs and cuddles.

We all find it incredible. As I mentioned before, she keeps her distance from strangers. However, she will take the initiative to approach my best friend and my parents (they didn’t even try to tease her). She will go and sniff them. She was even fierce to my two ex-boyfriends. Every time they saw Xiaoman, they thought this cat was so fierce. Later, we indeed broke up because of differences in values…

This year is the fourth year with Xiaoman. At first, I started raising a cat out of curiosity. In the middle, I had the thought of giving her away because I couldn’t bear her naughtiness, but it was just a thought. Privately, I think Xiaoman’s personality is really similar to mine, like the unmasked me. Now she and Fufu are like my family, two little cats that cling to my life, accompanying and loving me unconditionally, whether I’m in a good mood or not, whether I’m busy or not.
