If you see a Dragon Li cat chained up in the countryside, don’t feel sorry for it, because in all likelihood, it’s not a kind – hearted one.
As the ceiling of combat power among cats, the Dragon Li cat’s motto could be “Life and death don’t matter, if you’re not convinced, fight”. It can be said that it not only hisses viciously but also strikes hard. Besides being domineering at home, it is invincible outside.
I spent my primary – school summer vacations at my grandparents’ house. I witnessed a fight between Dragon Li cats, which greatly shocked my young mind. Let me tell you briefly so you can feel what a real “Warrior among Cats” is like.
On an ordinary afternoon, a Dragon Li cat was leisurely basking in the sun. Its majestic tiger – like stripes glistened with an eerie cold light in the sun. Beside its feet was a meaty bone. Just then, a stout orange cat appeared not far away, its eyes fixed on the meaty bone. The Dragon Li cat’s eyes turned cold, its tail immediately fluffed up, and its whole body tensed like a spring as it let out a low growl of warning. The orange cat, apparently not knowing what’s good for it, continued to approach tentatively and even swiped a paw in an attempt to scare the other away.

The Dragon Li cat wasn’t intimidated. With a sharp screech, it lunged forward, delivering a swift slap to the orange cat. It was so fast that even the on – looking puppy nearby was left stunned. The orange cat was dazed by the blow but still tried to fight back. The Dragon Li cat leaped back, nimbly circled behind the orange cat, and then forcefully bit the latter’s hind leg. The orange cat let out a shrill cry and struggled desperately, but the Dragon Li cat held on tightly, its eyes filled with the message “This is my territory, don’t you dare cause trouble”.
The battle lasted less than three minutes. The orange cat completely surrendered and fled with its tail between its legs. The Dragon Li cat gracefully shook its fur, as if what had just happened was just a warm – up. Then, it picked up its prize – the meaty bone, and walked back to its territory with its head held high, leaving a group of dogs, chickens, and me in the village watching it in silence, not even daring to breathe…
This cat named Shuangxi probably isn’t very good at fighting, haha.
This one is so cute. I just want to pick it up and kiss it.
