The Drawbacks of Dragon Li Cats' Appearance

The Drawbacks of Dragon Li Cats’ Appearance

The main drawback lies in their appearance.

I know this statement may invite a lot of criticism, but please hear me out.

The first shortcoming of the Dragon Li cat’s appearance is that they closely resemble their ancestors and other wild felines. Their sturdy figures and sharp gazes make you feel a wild power even when they are lazily basking in the moonlight.

For people who are gentle or those who prefer soft and cute pets, this kind of appearance can bring a sense of crisis and is not likely to be endearing.

The second shortcoming of the Dragon Li cat’s appearance is their high similarity, making it difficult to distinguish between them. Although each Dragon Li cat has differences in stripes, fur color, and the area of white coverage, when they are put together, they can be recognized. However, when seeing one alone outside, it’s very hard to tell them apart unless there are obvious features.

I’ve thought many times that if my Dragon Li cat ended up in a rescue station or a cat colony, I’m not sure if I’d have the confidence to pick out that unlucky one and take it home in a box.

There are currently two Dragon Li cats in the neighborhood. One is annoying, and the other is quite cute. Their common trait is that they like to rub against people. When I meet them at night, I really can’t tell them apart. So, which one should I kick and which one should I pet?

Although it can also be difficult to distinguish between black cats, calico cats, orange cats, and white cats, especially those of solid colors.

However, black cats and calico cats have the advantage of being less common. Orange cats are lazy and chubby, and white cats are generally easier to distinguish and more likable than Dragon Li cats. Most importantly, the proportion of Dragon Li cats is really high.

So, as someone who has “cloud – adopted” cats for years, when I encounter a Dragon Li kitten outside, I usually choose to just give it some food instead of taking it home.

Isn’t it like the famous lines of ancient women when being saved by different knights – “I’m willing to marry you” and “I’ll repay you in the next life”?

Yes, I’m being discriminatory about the fur color. So what?
