A few days ago, my boyfriend picked up an adult Dragon Li cat from outside. He said the cat was very affectionate towards him. It was a sudden drop in temperature in Chengdu those days, and it was raining. Seeing that the cat looked pitiful, he brought it home.
It didn’t resist at all when being bathed. It wasn’t a newly lost cat. People in the neighborhood said it had been wandering there for a long time and usually relied on the kindness of the neighbors for food.
The first time I saw it, it had just finished taking a bath and its fur wasn’t completely dry yet. It was hiding in the cat bed and looking at me.
It was timid. When it first came, it was very afraid of the two little kittens at home. Its fur would fluff up whenever the kittens approached, but it was just scaring them. At first, the kittens were also afraid of it, but after a while, they found that it was all bark and no bite, so they weren’t afraid of it at all. Once, the big white kitten got very close to it, and it kept hitting the pillow in front of the big white… Sometimes it was also quite careless. My boyfriend was petting it, and it was enjoying it very relaxed. So relaxed that it didn’t even notice the little black kitten licking its butt…
On the first night, it slept in the living room. In the morning, as soon as it saw me, it immediately came over and rubbed against my legs. It was only the second time we had met. At night, we always left the bedroom door open for the convenience of the two little kittens. Unexpectedly, in the middle of the second night, I was half asleep and found that it was sleeping at the end of the bed. It was really something. The two little kittens were also sleeping on the bed. At that time, it was very afraid of the kittens.
However, it has a fatal flaw, that is, it doesn’t know how to use the litter box. In the first two days, we didn’t notice any feces outside, so we thought it had pooped in the litter box. Until one day when I got home and smelled a stench, I realized that it had been pooping outside the litter box all along. It was just that the poop in the previous few days was in the corner and we didn’t see it. So we tried various methods to teach it to use the litter box, but it still couldn’t. But starting from yesterday, it pooped in the toilet! And today it even pooped directly in the squatting pit! Suddenly, I felt my IQ was insulted. Who did it learn this from?
From the past few days of raising this Dragon Li cat, I summarize that Dragon Li cats are smart, clingy, gentle with little kittens, food lovers, super sleepy, and have a good temper. They don’t get angry even when the little kittens bite or kick them.
The disadvantage is that they trust humans too easily and are easily taken away.
