The intelligenceof the tabby cat is so high that you will often look at it with new eyes. I now understand more and more why there is a saying of “furry children”. The complexity of its thoughts and feelings is far beyond the imagination of many people. My cat is about four months old. The reason why I say “about” is because I don’t know when it was born. It is a stray cat that I picked up. Recently, it has become more and more capable. There are many times when it surprises me. I really didn’t expect that I just wanted to be a roommate with it, but it gave me so many surprises.

Let me tell you a few things to prove its intelligence:

1. Sometimes it hides in the chair in the second bedroom and quietly waits for me to pass by. As long as I pass by, it will “swoosh” and jump on the back of the chair to show me its face, and its face is innocent, as if saying “Look! Kitty!” At first, I was often startled, but later I knew that every time I entered the second bedroom, I would look at the chair first. When I found it, I was mentally prepared.

2. It’s been cold recently and there’s no heating. A few days ago, I found that a sponge pad on the sofa was missing. I suspected that it had put it under the sofa so that when it hid under the sofa, there was a pad lying on it. I lay on the ground and looked at it. Sure enough, the pad was placed at the innermost part. Obviously, it must have dragged it in on purpose.

Today,I couldn’t find the cat and looked under the sofa. It was lying steadily on the sponge pad, and there was another pad on the sponge pad!

3. Our morning and evening classes every day are hide-and-seek. Sometimes it hides and I look for it, and sometimes I hide and it looks for it. We will deliberately cooperate with each other and pretend that we can’t find it, and call anxiously, but in fact, it’s just to make each other happy. If it hides for a long time and I don’t see it, it will meow, and it will deliberately call very miserably. I once thought that something happened to it.

4. It bit me a few days ago, it was quite light, just for fun. I said, “It hurts, I don’t want to play with you anymore!” Then it tried to bite its own leg, and then looked at me, as if saying, “Does it hurt so much? I’ll try! It doesn’t hurt!”

​5. There are always a few hazelnuts on the bed. Sometimes I see it holding hazelnuts and going to where it wants to go, such as on its scratching board, on the sofa, on the bed… 6.

Every night when it’s time to go to bed and I go to wash up, it lies at the bathroom door waiting for me. When I enter the bedroom, it goes to bed and rests its head on my pillow, and sometimes holds my arm with its little hands.
