My cat is very affectionate.
I recently got a British shorthair cat and I feel the difference very much.
When they were kittens, these pet cats that were specially raised as pets were really affectionate. During the selection process, the British shorthair cats in that cage were all very docile and had no temper. This is really different from the tabby cats in my home. If you are not mentally prepared to raise a cat at the beginning, it is easy to discourage you when you meet a tabby cat with an average temper.
Alas, this cautious little look.
The picture above records the second tabby cat I raised. When I took it home, it stayed in my straw bag for two weeks. If I had a cat for the first time, I would be even more depressed in that urgent mood of seeking comfort.
The degree of affection of tabby cats depends almost entirely on acquired training. Whether they will get close to you at the beginning depends on luck; how long it will take to get close to you depends on luck; how close they will be to you in the end depends on luck! Of course, they will be close, but whether they can meet your expectations and emotional investment really depends on the cat, not on people.

Moreover, the biggest characteristic of the tabby cat is that it is pretentious. It is the most pretentious among all cats! It obviously wants to come over, and you call it for a long time, but it acts like “Oh, I really want to come over, but I can’t? What if I can’t? Forget it”. When it is in a better mood next time, it will come over by itself, and rub against the wall again, acting like “Oh, I didn’t come here on purpose, I just came here to rub against the wall, and it happened to be closer to you. You see, I rubbed against the wall twice and left by myself when I felt comfortable”. The mind of this cat is like a needle in the sea in Haidilao.
The biggest feeling this British shorthair mixed cat gave me is: it makes sense for humans to breed all kinds of breeds! This cat is born to be a pet! As soon as it arrived home, it started to go wherever you go. You lie down and write answers while it crawls around your neck. This stickiness, as someone who once said “I don’t care about breeds”, is really good!

The new British shorthair mixed cat is a silly and sweet cat. The tabby at home reacted strongly and always hailed it, but it had no reaction to this. It had a body language of “OK then”, was not frightened, was not stressed, and still wanted to follow this little sister. However, I also felt that both cats were very gentle. The tabby didn’t hailed it much on the third day, but still avoided it and never bit it or hit it. However, this British shorthair silly and sweet cat was like “Where are you going, sister?” and “I’m coming, sister~” all day long, and kept following its sister cat happily. Life in the new home was completely stress-free for it.
