A Little Tabby Cat Maomao (1)
Last October, a colleague found a little tabby cat downstairs in the company and sent a message to the group to ask who would like to adopt it. The chef immediately said that he wanted to keep it. The next day, I went to see the kitten. It was very miserable. There was a bowl of dried fish that was too hard to chew (the kind that people eat is very salty), and the kitten was crying pitifully. It happened that a friend had said that he would give me a kitten. We had prepared a series of things such as cat food, cat litter, toys and a small nest to welcome the kitten. Suddenly, he changed his mind and was reluctant to give it to me. As a result, I ignored this friend for a long time.
I told the chef that I wanted to adopt the kitten. The chef said it was okay. The boss seemed to not want the kitchen to have a kitten. Then I did some ideological work on the object of my object and asked if I could adopt the kitten. I originally planned to adopt it if the child was a boy (because it would be easier to sterilize it), but I liked her very much when I saw her at first sight. She was skinny and rolled around in the bowl (after all, it was the chef who adopted her and put it in the storage room).
The first time I saw Maomao, she rolled around in a bowl the size of a palm
. Even though she was a girl, I decided to adopt her.
I repeatedly persuaded my partner, and finally he said: You can raise her, but if you raise her, you must be responsible for her and take care of her for life.
Then we came up with the same name for the child. Since she was a stray kitten, why not call her Maomao – Sanmao’s Wanderings? Hahaha.

Because I could only go back to my partner’s place on weekends, the kitten was fostered in the kitchen for a few days.
Our leader was a germaphobe and would not let the kitten be placed in the storage room, so the chef put the child on the balcony. There were a lot of cardboard boxes piled up on the balcony. The cook said that they could not see the kitten even if they went there, but every time I went there, I called her gently and she would slip out obediently.
During the days of fostering in the company, I was the only one who could summon the kitten .
It seemed that the kitten was really a creature that could hold back poop and pee. I hadn’t seen her poop or pee during the entire working day. I was also wondering if the child would poop and pee at home. The follow-up was very good.
It was a stormy Friday afternoon. After work, I took the cardboard box and said: Maomao, mommy is here to pick you up. The kitten jumped out, was carried to the box, and was taken back to my partner’s residence.
After arriving home, her greedy nature was exposed. She ate two large bowls of cat food and ran into the cat litter box without any instruction. I instantly felt that I should be able to raise her well.
The kitten that was secretly hiding in her father’s arms
came back. When I saw the kitten for the first time, it was very thin and palm-sized. It seemed that the kitten had grown ears and claws first?? Anyway, the small body set off the very large ears and claws, and it didn’t grow ears and claws much when it grew up. My partner played with her with a cat teaser, teasing that the kitten was “a child wearing big shoes”, and said that she was too lonely at home, and he would take time to play with her every day.
At the end of the workday, I had to go back to the company dormitory, and the kitten was left to my partner to raise. Things began to become a little out of control.
The sleepy little furry
said that when she was at the company, the kitten only kissed me. After arriving home, it turned out that whoever raised it would kiss.
Maybe it’s my partner’s free-range policy. Every day when dad comes home, the child wants to rub against him, kiss him, and jump on him for a hug, which makes the old father’s eyes full of stars.
When the old father is studying, she stays on the desk and occasionally lies on dad’s lap. When the old father goes to the toilet, she has to watch him. When the old father takes a bath, after the sound of the water is quieter, she will quickly crawl to the door and wait.
The tabby cat survives by intelligence. I found that she is very good at summarizing patterns. At five o’clock in the morning, she tentatively called the door. My partner opened the door for her with sleepy eyes, and then they fell asleep in each other’s arms. Why didn’t they sleep together all night? Because cats have to crawl, jump, steal water and do all kinds of bad things in the middle of the night, hahahaha. In the morning, I can also let my partner cherish his sleep time for a while, and he said he was very happy.
