My smartest tabby cat, Wumiao.
My cat is a hidden tabby, so I can answer this question. As is
the international practice, let’s start with the cat.
Although it looks black, you can see the hidden tabby pattern on its body from a certain angle in the sun, which is a little red. The second picture vaguely shows the pattern on its chest and front legs. Black is just its disguise.
Its name is Wumiao, and it is the smartest cat in my family. It is just short of being able to speak.
Wumiao was the first to come to my house. Later, there were injured cats rescued, cats from friends who helped with foster care, and orphan cats who helped with breastfeeding. . . They came and went. To all these cats, Wumiao was like a big sister, kind and tolerant, eating and playing with them. Even a little kitten could grab its toys and food at will. As long as others came to ask for it, Wumiao would quietly give way and step aside. I once thought it had a good temper to the point of being cowardly. Until a friend brought a dog to my house to play.

As soon as the dog came in, the other cats who were the kings of the house got into the sofa and got under the bed. . It disappeared in an instant, leaving only woof. Instead, it rushed out, making a low barking sound like a dog, chasing the dog all over the house, howling.
I couldn’t calm it down, so I locked it in the bathroom for isolation. It was so angry inside that it yelled and refused to give in. I
quickly finished my work and sent the guest and his dog away. As soon as I opened the bathroom door, woof rushed out like a cannonball, walked around the house in a majestic manner, sniffing everywhere, looking for the dog, and swearing for a long time before calming down.
I understood that it was not that it had a good temper, it just gave in to those ignorant kittens, it felt that they were family. And when facing foreign enemies, it was brave.
Its most prominent feature is its strong ability to express itself. Its calls are very rich and clear. It hums unsatisfied when it doesn’t want to be held, it acts coquettishly when I touch it when it is sleeping, when it wants food, when it is annoyed by us teasing it, and when it warns strangers not to get close… These calls are all different, and we can understand them all. It just lacks the ability to speak human language.
Seeing that so many people like Wu Miao, let me tell you something that happened yesterday.
We often cook small fish for it. Yesterday, after I cooked the fish in the store, a customer came. I went out to greet them, and then I forgot about cooking the fish and sat there browsing my phone. Suddenly, Wu Miao ran to me and yelled. It looked like something big had happened, but I couldn’t think of what it had done. As soon as it stood up, it immediately led the way to the kitchen. I followed it in and saw that the water for cooking the fish was boiling and it was all gushing out! It was calling the police.
