1. XXXL cat supplies

2. Difficult to care for hair

Ragdoll cats are long-haired cats, and the hair volume is very strong, so the owner needs to take care of its hair every day after raising a Ragdoll cat, otherwise the hair on the Ragdoll cat will easily tangle, become rough and messy. Due to the large size + strong long hair, blow the hair for an hour after taking a bath.

3. Be careful of hairballs.

Cats are very clean animals. In their spare time, they will constantly lick their hair with their tongues. In this process, because the cat’s tongue has many barbs, it will swallow all the cleaned hair and other dirt into its stomach. This behavior is more frequent during the molting period in spring and autumn, and the old hair that is easy to fall off at this time will cause the cat to swallow more cat hair! The cat hair will be eaten into the stomach and cannot be excreted for a long time. It will gradually gather into a small ball in the stomach. 4. Weak stomach

After the long-haired cat has diarrhea, the buttocks and thighs are full of poop. Wherever you go, you will carry the poop. It is really a tragedy on earth.

5. Picky eating

I don’t know if it’s because of the breed of cats. Compared with the other little thorn, this Ragdoll baby is very picky about food. She even picks canned food and snacks. She can list a one-meter-long list of snacks that she doesn’t eat. She doesn’t like cat strips and freeze-dried food. She only eats cat food as a staple food and dried fish from New Zealand as a snack.

6. Genetic diseases

There are two fatal genetic diseases: one is hypertrophic heart disease, which mostly occurs at the age of 4-8. Severe cases can lead to hind limb paralysis, breathing difficulties or sudden death. Another is polycystic kidney disease, which usually occurs between 3 and 10 years old. Some ragdoll kittens may be diagnosed around 6 months old. Because the enlarged kidneys compress the digestive organs in the abdominal cavity, cats will lose their appetite and become increasingly thin.
