Our ragdoll cat Yuki is already over one year old (1)
Before I knew it, our cat is already over one year old. It has been more than half a year since we got her home. From the initial enthusiasm, to the anxiety of the novice period, to now we are familiar with each other and have become a part of each other’s life, I have no regrets.
Most people keep ragdolls for two reasons: good looks and good personalities. However, only those who have kept one know what these two points mean.
It is indeed good-looking, but hair loss is also a big problem. The above two hundred answers have mentioned it. To be honest, I was mentally prepared when I first decided to get a cat, but it was only when I really got along with her every day that I realized the trouble. The day after I got the cat home, I bought a Dyson. I also have a roller hair remover at home. I was able to clean actively in the first week, but every day when I saw my dark purple bedspread covered with cat hair, I was still a little upset. At the beginning, I could insist on vacuuming the bed and roller hair removal every day. After a long time, sometimes I was too tired to clean it and just slept. What’s worse, as soon as you finish vacuuming the bed, the cat jumps onto the bed to fight with the vacuum cleaner, and the hair on its belly gets stuck to the quilt cover again while running around. . . . . . In winter, when hair loss is the worst, sometimes you can rub off a small ball of hair by splashing water on your face in the morning. . . .
Therefore, be mentally prepared to clean diligently. It is necessary to sweep the bed once or even twice a day, and you should also clean up the dead corners every weekend. The consequence of not being diligent is that the cat gets dirty very quickly, and its paws and hind legs quickly turn black. Then you have to wash the cat again, which is a torture for both you and the cat.

In fact, hair loss for long-haired cats is not a particularly difficult thing to deal with. As long as you are diligent and vacuum the floor and bed more often every day, it will be fine. Ragdoll cats are very light and soft. In fact, most of the time they are either floating in the air or gathering in a corner, such as under the bed, in a furry corner of a cat climbing frame, or near a piece of clothing that particularly absorbs hair. So it is relatively worry-free to clean them. After all, short-haired cats and dogs also shed hair, which is inevitable for pets, unless you keep reptiles. They
have a good personality, but they are too clingy. When I complained to my friends about my clingy personality, they all thought I was showing off, but I really wasn’t… I
was really touched during the fresh period. She followed you everywhere. She fell asleep in your arms without any precautions on the first day she came, with her fluffy little head arched in your palm. When she was cooking in the kitchen, she squatted at your feet and called coquettishly, asking you to hug and touch her. This kind of trust and attachment without reason is one of the most charming things about ragdolls.
