I have a golden retriever and two poodles at home. I have spent more effort on one golden retriever than on two poodles, because raising poodles is really worry-free, labor-saving and cost-saving. They
are small in size, eat less and poop less, and are easy to take out for a ride. If they destroy the house, the damage is also small. I can bathe poodles at home, but I still have to send them outside for haircuts. I have to send golden retrievers out for bathing every time. And puppies need less activity, and they don’t need to be taken out for a walk every day.
There is almost no body odor.
The biggest advantage is that I am also the owner of a golden retriever, which is worthy of my bragging. It doesn’t shed hair!!!!
And it won’t bark or bite when I take it out. One of them is a female, and even if I don’t lead her, she knows to stay by my side and not run around. She stays by my side when she meets people or dogs. When I take her to the dog park, she doesn’t go anywhere but follows me.
And my two dogs know to urinate and defecate in the diaper at a fixed point, so there won’t be landmines all over the floor at home.

I am abroad, and the quality of dog breeding abroad is higher than that in China, so there are fewer bad owners and fewer bad dogs. I have met many people who raise poodles around me (most of them are young Asians, and I have not seen white people raising poodles). Everyone disciplines their dogs. When they are taken out, they are very honest. They don’t bark, run around, or bite as many people say. When they are taken to the dog park, they basically only play with small dogs and don’t mix with big dogs. They follow their owners all the time.
As for the day, my male poodle has a little bit of it, but it is not as exaggerated as the rumors on the Internet. As an unneutered male dog, it is normal to do more or less day-to-day actions. I gently slap him and he will stop immediately. On the other hand
, it is rumored on the Internet that golden retrievers are warm and obedient, but they keep silent about the shortcomings of golden retrievers. It is really unfair to dogs like poodles.
My golden retriever.
He does have all the advantages of golden retrievers that are rumored on the Internet, and he is also very sensible and obedient, but this is a big golden retriever who is almost five years old. Whoever raised a golden retriever when he was a puppy knows it. Before the age of two, the skin of the dog had chewed three of my Apple laptop chargers, and the mahogany furniture at home had been chewed off. The wooden floor was full of scratches from nails. I have had poodles for four years. The biggest trouble I have had is that if the male dog is not properly tied up when taken out, he will run around and cannot be called back if he sees people or dogs. But every time I tie him up and lead him, there is no problem.
Golden retrievers shed hair six and a half days out of seven, and they will shed more or less even after combing. The more they eat, the more they poop. Because of their large size, they need to be taken out for a walk at least twice a day.
Although my golden retriever is well-behaved, obedient and sensible, and is very competitive and proud when taken out, it is really time-consuming, labor-intensive and expensive compared to poodles.
Therefore, it is not the poodles at all, but more because there are many bear owners. Moreover, if someone wants to raise a dog but is afraid of trouble, I would even highly recommend poodles. It saves worry, labor and money. After a little training and discipline, it is clingy and obedient. I have raised it for four years and have no regrets at all.
