The main difference between male and female poodles.
Actually, when I was just preparing to raise a dog, I only knew a few types of dogs, golden retrievers, Pomeranians, Chow Chows, and poodles. Then I wanted to raise a golden retriever the most because it was really warm. As a result, raising a golden retriever requires a large enough place to live, and I couldn’t bear to let it stay on the balcony. In addition, Pomeranians like to bark, and Chow Chows are strong in addition to eating, so I chose a poodle.
Although the reputation of poodles is not very good, I refused at first, but I really wanted to raise a dog.
And when I chose a poodle, I only considered one thing, to raise the kind that others don’t raise, and it has learned to urinate and defecate outside. I didn’t consider the gender, color, and body shape at all. I didn’t know that poodles have so many colors, and the body shapes also include teacup, standard, giant, etc., and there are also great differences between different genders.
So, it’s really lucky to meet my dog, and it’s lucky for both parties.
When I talked to the previous owner at that time, he told me that it’s good to raise a female poodle because male poodles always hold babies. When she said that her daughter’s classmate’s family also has a poodle, she would ask her mother what’s going on with this poodle, which is very embarrassing.
Until now, I have raised poodles for 8 years. I think it is better to raise a female poodle, and it is best not to raise a reddish brown one.

My poodle has the genes of a gray poodle. When the hair is light, it is gray, and when the hair is long, it is black, but not that black. Then there is a female poodle. In addition, I know two black male poodles, two reddish brown male poodles, and my second dog is a reddish brown female poodle. Through observation, I still think it is better to raise a female poodle other than reddish brown.
The main differences between male and female poodles are as follows:
1. Body odor problem
Although the body odor of small dogs is not as strong as that of medium and large dogs, dogs of the same breed still have different body odors. For example, male poodles have a stronger body odor than female poodles.
When I first raised Tiantian, I didn’t find this problem at all. I judged it completely based on the situation of several poodles around me.
Once, a colleague from the company brought his male poodle to me. I held it and found it smelled bad, but he said that he had just taken a bath that day, so it was still smelly after taking a bath. I couldn’t understand it. This was only a reddish-brown male poodle.
Another dog friend’s black male poodle told me that her poodle had to take a bath at least twice a week, otherwise it would smell bad. Xiao Tiantian sometimes didn’t smell bad even if she didn’t take a bath for three weeks, so she was very glad that I had a female poodle.
My second dog is a reddish-brown female poodle, and my family said that it would smell bad if it didn’t take a bath for a week, so I think that this smell is related to gender and color. I
have heard that each color of poodle has a different personality, but I didn’t expect that there is also a difference in body odor.
In summary, except for reddish-brown, female poodles have little body odor and will not smell bad if they don’t take a bath for two or three weeks. Male poodles need to take a bath at least once a week.
