For beginners, I suggest you get a male Bichon Frise.
I’m a novice dog owner. I actually like large dogs, but my family doesn’t allow me to get one, so I just got a small one. I looked up some information and pictures, listened to my friends’ recommendations, and finally bought a Bichon Frise. It
was less than 50 days old when I bought it, and it cost more than 1,000 yuan. For beginners, I suggest you get a male one, because it doesn’t have a menstrual period and doesn’t need to give birth to babies. It’s easier than a female one. The one
I have is a little Bichon Frise. I gave him a shot of vaccine on the first day he came. He was very energetic and could eat after he arrived at my house. On the first night, I put him in a cage and slept in the same room with me. It was very quiet all night long. In the morning, he probably started to hum because he wanted to go to the toilet. The next night, it refused to go into the cage no matter what I said. Once it went in, it started to cry. So I opened the cage door for it, and it slept until midnight and started to scratch the bed. I didn’t sleep well that night. During these two days, I started to train it to go to the toilet once it got home. On the third day, it could find the urine pad to go to the toilet. I didn’t carry it to bed at night, and it slept on the mat and didn’t get up in the middle of the night. Maybe it got used to it. After a week, I moved its sleeping place to the living room. It could see our place as soon as it raised its head. I thought it would hum and run to the bedroom, but it hummed twice and saw that no one paid attention to it, so it ran to the mat to sleep by itself. Later I bought it a small nest and put it there. It crawled into its nest without any guidance.

It has been in my house for 29 days now. Its sleeping position has gradually changed from curled up to lying on its back. Every night around 10 o’clock, when it sees us return to the bedroom and lie on the bed, it will run back to its nest to sleep. Sometimes when it doesn’t want to sleep, it will get up and play with rabbits. Our house has a garden, so the balcony leads to the outside. When we go out, it can’t climb up to the window, so it will bark at the window. Also, when it sees you eating, it wants to put its head in your mouth and bark a few times when it is greedy. I have seen dogs that are willing to bark, but compared with them, Bichon Frise is really unwilling to bark, which is very pleasing. Another advantage of Bichon Frise
is that it has little body odor and does not shed hair. Of course, this does not shed hair relative to other dogs. The amount of hair shedding is very small, about the same as human hair loss. It has little body odor. My dog now takes a bath once a week, and the fragrance stays for almost a week. Compared with large dogs, the smell is much better. Although it is not as smart as a golden retriever, it is okay. I only took half an hour to teach my dog to sit down. It knew how to go to the toilet after two days. I am very satisfied. As for Bichon Frise, it has a bad stomach and is greedy. If you want to raise a dog well, you have to be willing to spend money. So every time I buy something for the dog, my mother will dislike it. Hahaha, put down my dog soap tablets
