My Golden Retriever Patton (1)

My Golden Retriever Patton (1)

I either have a moron or it pretends not to understand… I taught it

how to sit and lie down when it was very young.

When I was in college, I often saw online all kinds of stories about warm-hearted golden retrievers. It wasn’t until I started working that I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to take care of the dog by myself. Later, I got a girlfriend. By chance, I helped a friend take care of his golden retriever, a female, and was super obedient. So I thought all golden retrievers were like that, so I decided to raise them…

When I first got them, they were so cute and chubby. There is one male and one female. I was hesitant for a long time. I wanted a female, but from a “father’s” perspective, I really didn’t want to have a bastard one day… So, after much hesitation, I chose a male and named him Patton, because Patton’s father and “Patton’s” father had the same profession, and I also hoped that he could be as majestic as a general… Alas… He was majestic, but because of his friendly nature, he was always bullied. He was afraid of the small black dog and the big yellow dog in the neighborhood, and he was bitten by them many times.

Once I took Patton to climb a mountain and met a family of three. The little girl asked what the dog was called. I said Patton. The girl’s father said that Patton’s name was a famous American general and he only lost twice in his life… Later, after the girl left, my girlfriend asked me, Patton was so great in his life, but he only lost twice. Do you know which two times?

I pondered for a while and felt that this father was very amazing. He knew Patton so well. Could he have predicted it? I said to my girlfriend in no uncertain terms: Patton did lose twice. Those two times were, once to a small black dog and once to a large yellow dog… I took it to get an injection in the winter. In January, I didn’t dare to bathe it. It smelled of urine and was wrapped in the blanket my mother gave me (my mother would probably scold me to death if she knew I used it on the dog). I turned on the seat heating. It happened to snow that day. He lay down obediently and then started to move the gear lever. That thing seriously interferes with my driving… I had a hunch since that day that this thing is not an easy one to deal with…

A few days ago, my beloved dog considerately made a pair of trendy leather shoes for me… It really is… It

has been incredibly destructive since it was a child, and when it grew up, it was bigger and taller than my friend’s golden retriever, but it had a small head and was full of tricks. It was well-behaved when it was on a leash, but once the leash was let go, it turned into a nightclub celebrity, running around wildly and playing hide-and-seek with you. If you chase it, it will run away, and if you don’t chase it, it will come back to tease you. If you chase it for a while, it will turn around and chase you again… It’s like a mentally ill patient with a kitchen knife…

The picture below is the embarrassing period… I took it to my hometown for the Chinese New Year, and I was scolded for the whole Spring Festival… It rummaged through the trash can to eat chicken bones, and I was afraid that it would get stuck, so I bit my hand when I tried to pry the bone out of its mouth, on New Year’s Eve… It didn’t say a word, for fear that I would really not be allowed to keep it, so I didn’t get it vaccinated for rabies. Patton is really not good at pleasing others. He kind of follows me and does whatever I want. He

starts to shed as soon as I bring him home for the first time… He really sheds a lot. He knows he will be disliked, but he still starts shedding… I originally sent him to my girlfriend’s house. She has a Chihuahua. After I dropped him off, I went back to work. The next morning, it was the 28th day of the twelfth lunar month. I wanted to sleep in and go home, but I was woken up by a call from my girlfriend. When I answered the phone, she said: Come and pick up Patton… Then, her mother took the phone and said: He scratched her and bit her… Okay, auntie, I’ll go pick him up now… Patton has a bad habit. He likes to bite people’s hands when he is happy. He doesn’t really bite, but just holds it in his mouth without using much force. It’s okay if you raise him yourself and know about this problem, but if you don’t know about it, even dog owners don’t dare to put their hands in their dogs’ mouths easily. Later, he slowly corrected this bad habit, but it still happens occasionally when he is excited.

After lunch, I took Patton to the highway. He was originally sitting in the back seat, but he insisted on climbing to the front seat. Fortunately, I had prepared some bones for him, fearing that he would affect us while driving on the highway. After all, it was Chinese New Year. When I was tired and opened the car window to smoke, the car was full of dog hair. I sang in my heart: Snow – one piece after another…
