Daily updates of our Samoyed Riven (1)

Haha! I finally found the problem with Samoyeds!

I think the feeling should be very warm!

Our Riven, the first photo!!!

When I went to my aunt’s house to play, they had two Teddy bears. I played with them and found them very cute, so I told my mom that we should also raise a dog. So I asked someone to find a kennel and ordered a Samoyed.

The reason why I chose a Samoyed was mainly because when I was in college, my junior schoolmate had a Samoyed. Once when our drama club was rehearsing, she brought the Samoyed with her and stood behind me. At that time, I was directing them to rehearse the play, and when I stepped back, I stepped on his foot. You know, I was actually afraid of dogs before, and I was also scared at that time. The dog howled (the miserable kind) and ran away quickly. Since then, I have had an impression of Samoyeds, which are silly dogs. At that time,

I really decided to raise a dog on a whim. In order to welcome this little cutie, my mom and I went crazy online shopping, including cages, chew sticks, snacks, cups, and so on.

I don’t know what happened at the kennel. It took about half a year before I was finally allowed to pick up the dog. I was so happy that day. I asked my uncle to drive me there. When I came back, it was my first time to hold a dog. I didn’t know how to hold it. I was so flustered that I even clamped her little head under her armpits with her butt facing up, just like holding a child upside down…hhh. The

little guy always had a bitter face. I don’t know why…

After returning home, I immediately excitedly sent the photo to my mother, and the result…!!!

Let me first say a premise. When I went home during the university holidays, my mother would take a nap at work at noon and never went home.

But when she saw Riven’s photo, my mother rushed back from work without stopping, holding Riven and being so happy. Since then, she no longer took a nap at noon and would go home to see Riven.

————————————

Initially, our family agreed not to let her enter the bedroom, and only allowed her in the living room. She was timid and didn’t dare to enter the room, but she would run to the door of the living room and bedroom, looking inside with a sneaky look, as if she was assessing the degree of danger. She has liked barking since she was a child. On the first day she came to my house, I ran around the coffee table with her. She couldn’t catch me, so she was angry and cried. As a little puppy, her barking was soft and sticky, which was very interesting…

PS: I will use blood and pain to tell those who have young dogs at home that if the dog likes to bark since childhood, you must educate her not to bark, otherwise it will form a habit and it will be very painful.

Very festive little clothes!

Maybe I didn’t name her well, Riven, who had the pain of a broken sword. On the fourth or fifth day of coming home, she suddenly lost her energy in the morning, which made us anxious. We took her to the hospital immediately. After a check, we found out that it was parvovirus!!!

It was the first time to raise a dog, and I didn’t know much about this aspect. I only knew that it was one of the three major lethal diseases. I had just graduated, had no job, and had no money. My mother later told me that when I heard that the treatment cost several thousand yuan, my eyes were almost as helpless as Riven who was sick. Fortunately, my mother loves dogs very much and didn’t care. She spent money to treat the disease directly.

Later, I contacted the owner of the kennel. She said that if she was sick, she didn’t need to go outside for treatment. They had a special cooperative pet hospital. So I took Riven to Jiashan (our home is in Jiaxing, and Jiashan is a county below). After the examination, we started treatment.

The doctor and we said that Riven had to be hospitalized, and if it was convenient, it would be best to visit her often, so that the pet would have a pillar in her heart and would not think that she was abandoned. The psychological state will affect the physiological state.

As mentioned before, I had just graduated and didn’t have a job, so for the next ten days or so, my task was to drive to the pet hospital every morning and stay with her until 6pm when the pet hospital closed. There were a few days when I went back and drove my mother to see Riven again.

This is a photo of her in the hospital at that time. This photo is still energetic. The back was almost lying down, with no strength at all, because she was bleeding all the time and her body was dirty. Every day I went there, I moved a stool and sat there to talk with her.

During that time, I was in the pet hospital every day, and I saw many pets I had never seen before. I also saw owners crying because their pet cats passed away, and there were also owners who thought the cost was too expensive and didn’t want to treat them. Sure enough, in a place like a hospital, whether it is for people or pets, you can really see all kinds of life.

PS: The lady who cried because her pet cat passed away was because she had to work, so she gave the cat to her mother. As a result, the old lady was greedy and bought super cheap cat food. As a result, the cat had kidney problems and could not be cured. The doctor told me that cats either don’t get sick or have serious problems throughout their lives. In comparison, dogs are better. They have minor problems all the time, but rarely have major problems.

I remember that one time during this period, the doctor called me and said that she felt much better. I was so happy at that time. I went to the supermarket with my mother to buy a lot of food. I was in a very good mood!!!

Many things happened during this period, and her condition was also up and down,

so I won’t say more. Later, she was still lying in the cage weakly. We almost thought she would not get better until my mother went there once and felt that she was too dirty, so she took her out and wiped her with a wet towel. Suddenly, I found that she could walk, although very slowly, but she could move on her own. At that time, even the people in the hospital were stunned.

Afterwards, I thought about it and suspected that it might be because he had been staying in the cage the whole time, without eating anything and just on drips, so he had no strength. The parvovirus might have been cured a long time ago, but because he had no strength, we mistakenly thought that it had not been cured.
