I want to tell you what foods dogs must not eat.
First of all, any seasoning, including salt, will burden the health of dogs. In addition, fat meat and chicken skin can cause vomiting, diarrhea and even pancreatitis in dogs, so the meat materials prepared for dogs should be mainly lean meat. Any chocolate contains caffeine, theobromine and theophylline, which are toxic to dogs and should never be fed. Xylitol is harmless to humans, but it is more toxic to dogs than chocolate, which can lead to severe hypoglycemia, seizures and even liver failure. Therefore, biscuits, chewing gum and even toothpaste at home must be kept away from dogs.
Now there are two camps for dog feeding, one is dog food pie and the other is raw meat pie. Many people pay special attention to feeding raw meat to dogs. We see that these dogs who only eat raw meat are also very strong, but we do see that many dogs eat dog food alone well. At present, the dog food on the market is diverse and nutritious. Even if the owner is lazy to feed the dog food all his life, there is no problem, and there is no need for extra nutrition. For example, my own dog mainly feeds dog food and performs well every day. So I don’t think there is a particularly authoritative conclusion on whether dog food is better or eating raw meat. For example, some well-known dog food companies have large laboratories and study the proportion of dog food every year, so I think dog food is OK from the perspective of nutrition.

But this doesn’t mean that the owner can’t give the dog other food. The owner has time to cook and improve the food for the dog. In addition to filling his stomach, he can also enrich the dog’s life. Personally, I will let my dog mainly eat dog food, but I also take the time to make some other complementary foods for him, because even human beings will feel bored if they eat one thing all their lives, at least they will eat something different, so that dogs can try more. But this richness does not mean that the owner has prepared all kinds of food, resulting in excess resources, and the dog does not eat it, which results in spoiling its temper and even affecting its eating habits.
I usually prepare chicken breast for my dogs. The easiest way to teach you is to heat it in the microwave for a few minutes, and then take it out and tear it into strips for them to eat. In addition, I will also prepare beef for my dog to eat, because beef and chicken are relatively hypoallergenic for dogs, and dogs are less likely to be allergic to it, so it is safer to eat. If you want to give the dog sashimi, such as salmon, I suggest that it must be cooked, because it will cause the risk of parasites, and it will be contaminated and produce bacteria during the whole process of transportation, display and sales. For example, heating it in a microwave oven can at least sterilize it.
In puppies, dogs like to chew hard things at home, so bones are a good substitute. I suggest that the bones bought in the vegetable market be boiled in boiling water for ten seconds for disinfection, but don’t cook them completely, because when they are cooked completely, they will be tender and unable to maintain hardness and toughness. After all, the main purpose of this bone is to grind teeth for dogs and relieve stress for adult dogs. But pay attention to the inspection. If there is a big piece missing or crack on the bone, it is necessary to change a bone. Because broken bones may lead to perforation of the dog’s stomach, or these fragments may block the digestive tract, and even make the dog’s teeth break. Therefore, the choice of bones is mainly cattle bonzi bone and pig bone, and the bones of poultry are relatively small and easy to break, which is easy to cause some potential injuries. You can bake the bones in the oven if you can, so that the dog won’t get oil everywhere.
I once had a dog who was very fond of fruit, so I’ll give him some watermelons or apples to eat if I have nothing to do, not for nutrition, but just for the dog to eat more and be happy.
In fact, it has fundamentally changed the living habits and routine, which must be considered clearly before raising a dog.
