A Samoyed named Summer.
I wanted to have a dog since I was a kid, but my mother was against it, saying that if she had a dog, she wouldn’t have me.
Of course, I ended up raising both of them.
Summer was ordered from a pet store (I didn’t have the idea of adopting instead of buying at that time). The store owner said she had to be airlifted, so I waited for a week.
She was not used to this northern city and caught a cold and had a runny nose, so the store owner wouldn’t let me take her home, fearing that she would die, so I waited another two weeks.
So when I finally took her home, my face was full of tears. It was so hard.
Puppies are not allowed to take a bath, probably because they are not in good health. She smells really bad, smelly, and choking.

I was fumigated by her every day. She ate milk cakes, took medicine, and was not allowed to play with other dogs and had to be held.
At that time, she was very small, and when I held her in my arms, I, a young girl, had the illusion that “I have a child”.
When I was a kid, I was very naughty, crazy, especially in the morning and at night, because I was holding my poop.
When she was teething, she would chew on all kinds of things, but she wouldn’t chew on the toys and teething sticks I bought for her.
She would bite people, and it was hard to prevent her from doing so. She liked my calves the most, and would bite them in circles. At that time, I felt like I had a man-eating dog.
Now when I have nothing to do and play with her, I would sometimes put my fingers in her mouth when she wasn’t paying attention. When she was in a good mood, she would twist her mouth and get me out, and look at me with a look of “What are you doing! Are you annoying!” When she wasn’t in a good mood, she would just ignore me and let me be, licking her with her tongue, without biting at all. It’s like raising a child, watching her grow up, and knowing her temperament very well. She would come over, nudge you, and sit down, because you must be eating something and she wants to eat it. She would rush over and bark for no reason, “I’m peeing/pooping in the toilet, go and clean it up for me.”
The longer you raise a dog, the more you will love it, and it’s not just her. This love will spread. If you see a lost dog on the side of the road, you will stop to help find the owner, feed dog food and water, and stray dogs will also be fed and watered.
This love is two-way.
For a while, our family had to leave her and go to another city. We fostered her at a friend’s house. My friend called and said that she had not slept all night for two days and kept whining and howling, so we sent her to the pet store. I felt so distressed at that time. I couldn’t go back home. I really had tears in my eyes. I was also very uncomfortable. There was no big ball of white hair at my feet, no one for her to jump on me, and no one for her to look at us eagerly when we ate. When we came back, my friend took her back as soon as possible. She had lost two circles of weight, and her hair was blown up when she saw us excitedly.
I took her for a walk with a leash, but a dog who really wanted to go out and see ran straight home. When I got home, she barked at everyone, ate some fruit, and fell asleep next to me on my slippers.
After raising her, I began to be afraid, afraid that she would get sick and old, and I really understood what time does not wait for people. You see, I could still hold her to take medicine yesterday, but today, even if I can still hold her, she has already weighed more than 30 kilograms.
I was afraid, but I was also glad that she came to me and stayed with me.
In fact, I was not raising her, but accompanying each other. Even if she couldn’t understand what I was saying, she would lie down beside me without saying a word when she was depressed, and run after me when she was happy and excited.
In short, it felt like I had a child. When she was in heat, I kept a close eye on her. Don’t you dare to bully my child, you little daring male dogs!
