In the wonderful world of pet keeping, every little animal carries the owner’s full love and expectation. My seal point Siamese cat, “Girl,” which I have in Moscow, is a unique treasure in my life. Now that she is over two and a half years old, watching her grow day by day, my heart is filled with joy and pride, and I can’t wait to share her story with everyone.
“Girl” was purchased by me from a regular local cattery in Moscow. She has a certificate, is of double – bloodline, but without breeding rights. She is a seal point Siamese cat. It’s worth mentioning that her father is a world champion. At seven years old, he has a pure white coat, but unfortunately, I don’t have his photos. The cattery owner told me that for a pure – bloodline seal point Siamese cat, as long as it is well – fed and the living environment temperature is suitable, it won’t become overly “darkened.” The color of its back fur won’t be white, but it won’t be as black as its face either. Instead, it should present a color shade below coffee color.

At first, I shared the feeding methods I summarized to prevent Siamese cats from “darkening” on Xiaohongshu, but I was questioned and refuted by many people. In the face of these voices, I gradually stopped arguing. Because in my eyes, as long as “Girl” is healthy and beautiful, everything else is not so important. Every life has its uniqueness. Just like “Girl,” her presence is the most beautiful gift in my life.
I specially sorted out photos of “Girl” from her birth to the present, hoping to show everyone her growth trajectory. Born on September 12, 2017, she came into my life like a little angel. Looking at these photos, memories come flooding back, and every moment is extremely precious. From a tiny, soft kitten to the lively and lovely two – and – a – half – year – old “girl” she is now, every growth and every change of hers makes me happy.
During the process of raising “Girl,” I deeply understand the influence of bloodline on pets. As I’ve learned, the domestic pet market is a complex place, and it’s indeed very difficult to buy pure – bred cats and dogs. If one has a strong attachment to bloodlines, purchasing from abroad may be an option. When I bought “Girl,” I went through a series of formal procedures. The cattery provided a detailed contract, six pages in total, and each clause protected the rights and interests of both the buyer and the cat. Moreover, double – bloodline cats have pedigree certificates, which are just like a family tree, recording the origin of the cat’s family. Generally, when buying a cat, the cattery will take the initiative to show these certificates and also present the breeding right certificates of the cat’s parents. If the buyer requests it, the cattery can also apply for an additional certificate, but there will be a handling fee. Since I just wanted “Girl” to accompany me, I didn’t apply for the extra certificate.
However, during the days of getting along with “Girl,” I also increasingly understand that whether the pet at home is a purebred cat or a rural cat, the bloodline is not the most important thing. Their healthy and happy life, full of vitality every day, is the biggest wish of us pet owners. Every cat has its own unique personality and charm, and they heal our lives with warmth and companionship. I hope everyone can keep pets rationally, care for the furry kids around them with heart, and I wish every pet can be lively and cuter and cuter under the love of their owners, adding more joy and warmth to our lives.
