In the long river of time, seven years may not be an extremely long period, but for me and the lilac Siamese cat at home, these seven years have carried countless precious memories and witnessed the deep affection between us.
This Siamese cat is an adorable “little gentleman”, and now it is more than seven years old. Although it always looks out the window with longing eyes, full of curiosity and yearning for the outside world, once it is actually taken outside, it immediately becomes timid. It will lie on the ground motionless, as if frozen by a spell. If I try to pick it up, it will cling tightly to my clothes with its little paws. Its nervous and scared appearance makes it seem as if it’s afraid that I will abandon it.

Most of the time, it is lazy and enjoys lying and resting in various strange postures, savoring the leisurely moments. Sometimes, it curls up into a fluffy ball; other times, it stretches its limbs and lies casually on the ground, looking very comfortable. When it washes its face carefully, its little paws wipe back and forth on its face rhythmically. Its focused expression makes it seem as if it is meticulously carving its “beauty”. Most cats are afraid of water, and it is no exception. It has a deep fear of water. However, surprisingly, it is extremely well – behaved during bath time. It lies quietly while I clean it, occasionally letting out a few soft meows, as if telling me its unease or acting coquettishly.
Remembering its childhood, the color of its lilac fur was even lighter, and it was incredibly cute and well – behaved. When it first came to our home, it was very timid and always hid under the bed, cautiously observing this unfamiliar environment. Seeing its pitiful and helpless look, I couldn’t bear it and gently picked it up onto the bed. Unexpectedly, this little guy regarded the bed as its “cozy nest” and settled down there ever since.
Siamese cats are naturally afraid of the cold. In winter, it becomes a regular “guest” in my bed. Whenever I prop up my legs, it seems to receive an “invitation signal” and will automatically jump into the quilt, then lie obediently under my legs to seek warmth. And I would “unceremoniously” use its soft and warm belly to warm my hands. Over time, our relationship has become closer and closer. Now, I’m even used to sleeping with my head resting on it, feeling its steady breathing and warm body temperature, and my heart is filled with peace and happiness.
However, since it was sterilized, its weight has been increasing steadily, and it has become a chubby “little fat cat”. Although it has become plump, in my eyes, it is still the incredibly cute and unique treasure. It has filled every corner of my life with its company and made me feel the happiness of being needed with its dependence.
These seven years of companionship have made it more than just a pet; it has become an indispensable family member in my life. In the days to come, I hope to continue accompanying it through more seasons, creating more beautiful memories together, and letting this warm bond last forever.
