The story of how I got Ermao, this “not – so – pretty” cat, is rather unglamorous. To be honest, I chose her because she was cheap – – [a sly smile].
As for why her name is Ermao, when I first brought her home, her fur was so sparse that I was worried she might go bald. I hoped she could grow more hair.
Now, let me share my experiences with her.
One word: clingy! Two words: very clingy! Three words: extremely clingy!!! No matter what you are doing, she must be by your side. When you’re having a meal – – she lies on your lap. When you’re using the toilet – – she lies on your lap. When you’re studying – – she lies on your book. When you’re working – – she lies on your computer. When you’re sleeping – – she lies on your chest, and so on… And she does the “real – time kneading,” which really hurts!! Don’t ask me how I know!!!
Sleep! She just sleeps soundly all day long. And as soon as she wakes up, she starts her crazy running around! The whole house becomes her running playground! She jumps from the bedroom bed to the living – room sofa, then from the living – room sofa to the kitchen stove, over and over again! Oh yes! Occasionally, she even runs on people!

Bite! She bites everything she sees! There’s nothing she won’t bite! Toilet paper? Bite! Books? Bite! Plants? Bite! (… By the way, for those of you who have cats, be aware that some plants and flowers can be deadly poisons to cats, such as lilies… It’s best to check in advance.) Looking at the scratches and bite marks all over my arms and legs, I feel sorry for myself… All kinds of wires… Not to mention those “Sony” earphones that have bitten the dust. TAT I bought them with great determination!!
Black! And her entire body color changes with the temperature!! With this big black face, it’s really hard to focus when the light is dim… Where can I complain about this??

So, is there nothing good about having a Siamese cat? Of course not!! The sweetness still outweighs the bitterness. For example, when you’re feeling depressed and restless, tossing and turning alone… For example, when you’re bored and she accompanies you to play some silly games… For example, when she brings you a little bit of happiness in your ordinary life… For example, when you gradually learn to take responsibility for a life… For example, when she accompanies you for a walk outside… For example, when you look up inadvertently and burst out laughing… For example… when you first met her… That excitement, agitation, and joy will never come again… There are many more wonderful things that you can only discover when you have a Siamese cat.
To be honest, when I first saw pictures of Siamese cats posted by others, I was repelled. “Why is this cat so ugly?” In the current popular aesthetic, people usually like cats with chubby cheeks, which seem cuter. However, Siamese cats have many advantages. Their short hair doesn’t shed easily; they are known as “the dog among cats,” which is a blessing for someone like me who wants both a cat and a dog; and you can take them for a walk on a leash! What more could you ask for!! Since I got Ermao, she has truly won me over with her charm, and I’ve become a “loyal cat – litter – cleaner.” Even my mom has become “the second cat – litter – cleaner who changed her mind.”
Finally, I hope Ermao and all other cute Siamese cats can grow up healthily and happily! That’s all!
