The Siamese cat in the spotlight is Fangjia. Her formal name is Fangjia, and her nicknames are the Clingy Drama Queen and the Sticky Plaster. She is female.
As a single middle-aged woman living alone, having a Siamese cat is really heartwarming. Although I have only been raising Fangjia for two weeks when writing this answer.
This was the second day after bringing her home. She was only two months and seven days old. On the first night when I brought her home and just let her out, she wasn’t shy at all. With full of curiosity, she wandered around the house. In less than two hours, she was already very proactive in being clingy. She lay on my legs and fell asleep, and raised her neck for me to stroke her in various ways.
When going to bed on the first night, just as I lay down, I suddenly felt something behind me. When I turned around, damn it, it was actually Fangjia who had climbed onto the bed. I thought she was too small to climb up, but she was very clever. She first climbed onto the lazy sofa beside the bed and then onto the bed. On the first night, she kept asking for hugs. The little poor thing who just left her brothers and sisters seemed very insecure. So I held her and we slept together. She slept soundly all night, and she must be held. As soon as my body and hands moved away from her a little bit, she quickly changed her position and rubbed against me. She could only fall asleep peacefully when I held her again. It really melted my heart as a middle-aged woman.
Early in the morning on the second day, she peed on my bed! And in the middle of the night on the second day, she pooped on the bed! I don’t know if it’s because she’s not used to the new cat litter box, or because she’s too young to have a concept, or because it’s inconvenient for her to jump off the bed. Anyway, there were surprises on the first day. Since I caught her in the act both times, I severely scolded her on the spot, gave her a few slaps, grabbed her to smell the poop, and then caught her and put her in the cat litter box and closed the door. While educating her that she must poop and pee in the cat litter box, I don’t know if she understood. Looking at her pitiful appearance after being taught a lesson, pawing at the door of the litter box and crying to come out, I was both angry and couldn’t bear it. After spanking her, things got much better. After that, she would consciously go to the cat litter box to solve her business. In a week, she grew a lot and could get on and off the bed freely. Basically, when she needed to poop or pee in the middle of the night, she would go down and solve it by herself.

When the weather is nice, Fangjia likes to go to the window to bask in the sun. At the same time, she makes all kinds of trouble and scratches the curtains. Basically, the layer of white gauze curtains is already in a state of being shredded and the threads are coming off.
I mainly did a lot of research before buying a Siamese cat, and I decided to get one because of the character of Siamese cats. I only had the experience of raising domestic cats before, and I was a bit dismissive of how clingy Siamese cats could be. But until I really raised a Siamese cat myself, it was really an eye-opener. Basically, as long as I am in a still state, she will always be attached to me.
She is a cat that always seems sleepy, with little meat pads like red beans. Because she is still relatively young now, her meat pads haven’t turned black yet.
When I work overtime, she always comes over to “help” me write emails. She occupies the keyboard in various ways. When she’s tired, she lies on the keyboard and sleeps, causing all kinds of disruptions.
Sometimes she makes this innocent and cute expression, which can simply sweep away all my unhappiness in a second.
Fangjia has a lot of expressions and is really good at posing in various postures. For example, the following “seductive and bitchy” way of crossing her legs.
I can’t do anything without her.
Fangjia is really talkative. I let her play at home by herself when I go to work during the day, and I will come home early to play with her after work. Basically, as soon as I enter the house, she starts meowing non-stop. Her voice is not loud, not noisy. It’s more like she’s chatting with you, or just keeps nagging, “You, the poop scooper, why did you come back so late!” When I cook in the kitchen, she also keeps pawing at the crack of the door and nagging.
When I lie on the bed reading a book before going to bed at night, Fangjia gets all excited and starts frolicking. She jumps on and off the bed, grabs the quilt, bites my fingers, or deliberately steps on me and then runs back again. But as soon as I turn off the light and call her to come and sleep, she immediately returns to her sweet and clingy state. She obediently grabs my arm and sticks to my chest. Sometimes when I’m asleep, she will come over and secretly kiss me twice.
