My Brave and Charming Cat, Xiongxiong

My Brave and Charming Cat, Xiongxiong

In my family, there is a cat that is not a purebred Siamese but has the charm of a Siamese. Its name is Xiongxiong. It has a deep blue eye, and this unique appearance makes it particularly distinctive.

The first encounter with Xiongxiong was quite dramatic. One day, my mother went to the market. In the bustling crowd of the market, she found it lying under someone else’s car, as if it was “faking an accident”. Even though it was kicked several times, it didn’t dodge or run away, just stubbornly staying there. My mother looked at this little guy and thought it was both silly and cute, and really pitiful. After asking around, we learned that it had been wandering around this area for a long time. Perhaps it was because of having only one eye (we guessed so at that time, and later we had a deeper understanding), and no one was willing to adopt it. Feeling pity, my mother brought it home.

On the day I knew Xiongxiong had come to my home, I lingered in front of the door for a long time. I kept rehearsing the scene of meeting it in my heart, thinking about how to make a good impression on this little cutie, and being afraid that my actions would scare it. Finally, I summoned up my courage and walked into the house. I gently moved to the corner of the sofa and greeted it carefully. Unexpectedly, it had no sense of strangeness at all. It swaggered and directly lay on my lap. At that moment, there seemed to be a special tacit understanding between Xiongxiong and me, and from then on, we formed a deep revolutionary friendship.

During the days we spent together, Xiongxiong’s daily life was full of fun. It was like a “martial artist” who loved martial arts and often chased after me as if we were fighting. Once, after it was scolded by my mother, I accidentally smiled. It showed no mercy and gave me a scratch with its paw, which made me bleed. Since then, I began to guess that the accident to its eye and its previous wandering experience might be closely related to its brave and combative character. It was such a free and unrestrained “man”, completely unaware of the need to restrain its “fighting power”.

Xiongxiong’s appearance was also very interesting. When it was a kitten, it was thin. When it sat, it looked like a new son – in – law who had just shaved his head, which made people laugh. As time passed, it gradually gained weight. Sometimes, when it was in a narrow space, the fat on its belly would squeeze out, and its chubby and cute appearance was really adorable. I often described it as a rich young master. It always had an indescribable noble temperament. It had long legs and strong arms, and this was not an exaggeration. Sometimes when it hugged me with its arms, it could make my arms feel that the blood circulation was blocked, which showed how strong it was.

However, this young master, who had been doted on by us since it was a kitten and seemed to be surrounded by “maidens” all the time, didn’t know the danger of the outside world. One day, it got injured, beaten by other cats. Maybe it was because every time it “attacked” me, I quickly begged for mercy. After all, who would really argue with a cat? But the wild cats outside wouldn’t spoil it like I did. This time, it was seriously injured. Even so, it still wanted to go out and fight again. Its unyielding spirit made me feel both distressed and admiring. Looking at its appearance, eager to “go on an expedition” again (to save its “young master’s” face, in fact, the other side of its face had no hair left, haha), I was both helpless and worried. I didn’t know when it would understand how dangerous the outside world was and when it would step out of its simple and beautiful “ivory tower”. This really gave me a headache.

There was no way. When it was injured, I could only try my best to take care of it. I seemed to have become its “guardian angel”, hoping it would get better soon. And it, too, seemed to feel my care. Although it was still so stubborn, it would show some gentle side in front of me. Our relationship became deeper and deeper with each interaction. I knew that Xiongxiong was not just a cat; it was an indispensable partner in my life and a precious family member to me.
