The daily life of my little dog Wangcai (2)

The daily life of my little dog Wangcai (2)

Once when we went out, the dog food we prepared for him went bad in the hot weather and he could

n’t eat it. He ate a lot of grass beside his doghouse to satisfy his hunger. I personally think that his behavior is due to the fact that I shared half of everything with him when he was young, so he developed a good habit of not being picky about food.

And he also helped me to release the chickens and ducks to the river to play in the water every morning, to put them in the cage at night, to drive the sheep and pigs, and even to help us find the lost donkey.

He held the rope in his mouth and led the donkey back. He is also awesome.

He can also watch the yard. The neighbor’s chickens often come to the vegetable garden in front of the ovary to dig for food. My mother always asks me to chase them away.

How could I go? I asked my younger brother to do it

for me. Maybe I didn’t explain it clearly the first time, and ended up taking the neighbor’s chicken back.

Damn, isn’t this going to get me beaten by my mother again?

Fortunately, the chicken was not bitten to death and only had a breath left. When I put it on the ground, the chicken staggered and ran away as if it was drunk.

I was scared and broke into a cold sweat.

If this chicken died in my hands today, the broom in my mother’s hand would not be a vegetarian.

No one can resist a friendly greeting.

I quickly gave new instructions and took my mother’s personal torture instrument and tapped the direction the chicken ran away a few times,

then stared at it and tapped it a few more times. It tilted its head and thought for no less than 5 seconds, as if it understood what I meant, but then a trace of confusion flashed in its eyes.

It was as if the little golden men in its mind were fighting. I couldn’t analyze it, after all, I didn’t understand dogs’ thoughts.

But when it saw me pointing at it with my mother’s broom, it obviously understood the serious consequences of disobeying. A good dog doesn’t suffer a loss in front of it . Later, it was proved that this guy really didn’t bring the chicken back to take credit, and the chickens in the vegetable garden were gone. I just often heard the neighbor and my mother chatting across the wall, and occasionally mentioned that her chickens would inexplicably disappear one or two recently. I didn’t know what was going on. I guess Wangcai knew the inside story. Later, the neighbor fenced her chickens and no longer let them roam freely.

My vegetable garden was also freer from the trouble of chickens scratching. Later, after a heavy rain, my mother opened the door in the morning to feed the dog and found that Wangcai was missing. The dog’s leash broke and it ran away. Our whole family started calling for it from all over the house. We thought this guy would rush out from some corner and pounce on us, but in the end, there was nothing.

Could it have eaten something it shouldn’t have (unlikely) or went out for fun for a whole morning and ran back by itself (probably). The whole family pricked up their ears to listen for a whole morning, but there was nothing, no hair at all. We looked for it in the following days, but we couldn’t find it. Gradually, we gave up the search and thought that someone had caught it and taken it away. My family was sad for a long time. Until suddenly one day at noon, I was lying on the mat and drowsy, and suddenly I heard a dog barking outside. I jumped up with a start and rushed out without even putting on my shoes. My sister ran out soon after, and we both recognized it!

It was my dog! As soon as I walked out of the room, I saw a black shadow from a distance, prying the door open a crack, and then rushing towards me like a black lightning . It was it. I screamed all the way and pounced on it. What a journey it was! I could clearly feel the time Time slowed down as if it had stopped. After several months of separation, the other person suddenly appeared in front of you without any warning. Until now, when I recall it, my eyes still feel like sand has entered them. My sister and I hugged the dog and danced with joy. Suddenly, we both burst into tears again, as if we were released after being suppressed for a long time .

From the corner of our eyes , we saw that my father and mother were squatting beside us and silently watching the three of us. After a long while, I heard my father loudly tell my mother that we need meat for the dumplings in the evening. My mother agreed very happily and turned around and ran into the house. I vaguely heard her talking to herself, saying that it was good that you are back, it was good that you are back… I carefully checked Wangcai’s body and found that he was thinner than when I left, but there were no wounds . I also noticed that he had a piece of thick hemp rope around his neck, and the broken end was uneven. He must have bitten the rope and ran back.

When Wangcai saw us, he jumped up and down, swayed left and right, and kept licking my sister and my face with his tongue. He also drilled between my father’s legs and kept circling around the three of us. It was probably lost and recovered on the 7th day after he was picked up. After 8 years, it came back and didn’t like to run out and play as much as before. Even if it accidentally broke free, it wouldn’t run away. I guess it left sequelae. It always lay quietly at the door of the doghouse, basking in the sun and stretching. Occasionally, when it heard a sound, it would lift its drooping eyelids and look sideways to see what was going on. It didn’t find anything unusual and continued to close its eyes and doze off. After a few years, it slowly lost interest in the big bones. Maybe it was too old to have good teeth. My mother cooked soup and rice for it to eat. When she was busy, she would throw two steamed buns in the dog bowl.

Maybe it felt tired of eating, so it used its nose to dig the soil and bury the steamed buns to protest. My mother found out and scolded it a few times. Then she simply took it to the nest, covered it with straw and slept on it. If I didn’t go to turn over the straw, I wouldn’t have found it. . . When I got home from school one day after the month off, it was gone when I got off the car to pick me up. It was nowhere to be seen at the door. When I passed by the doghouse, it was empty. I quickly went into the house and asked my mother where Wangcai was. Why didn’t I see Wangcai pick me up? I looked at my mother. She raised her head and looked at me without saying anything, but just shook her head slightly . It really left us forever this time…….
