The day my cat, Diandian, came to my home, it was like a little angel descending. I remember it was a night. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw her small figure curiously exploring the room. I quickly picked up my phone and took a snapshot. Who would have thought that this little newcomer would bring me so much joy and touch in the future? At that time, she was in her prime, only one year old, but she had already shown unique charm.
Diandian has an extremely funny sitting posture, like a leisurely old man, seemingly full of confidence and calmness towards everything around her. Once when I gave her a bath, looking at her wet appearance, I suddenly thought she resembled a puppy in some way. It turns out that cats can also show a different kind of cuteness at certain moments.
An important stage came in Diandian’s life – becoming a mother. After she mated and came back, she had a problem with diarrhea for several days. This was the first time she got sick. Seeing her weak appearance, I felt extremely distressed. Although I had supplemented her with nutrition for a long time during pregnancy, after giving birth, she still looked a bit haggard, and her originally round face became a little thin. At that moment, I made up my mind that I would never let her go through the mating process again because the pain she endured was really unbearable for me.
Diandian has a pair of beautiful blue eyes. The clear blue is like a deep lake, showing agility and tenderness. However, to capture the beauty of her eyes, the angle is really crucial. Sometimes, a suitable angle can fully display the charm of her eyes.
And Diandian’s babies, each one has a unique appearance. One of the kittens with uneven eyes was jokingly called “Li Ronghao & Jay Chou” by us. Its cute and unique appearance always makes people laugh. Every time I see it, it seems like I’m watching a funny little actor performing. It often makes expressions and actions like “Let me go”, as if it’s full of curiosity and resistance to the world.
These little kittens are really very cute. In their kittenhood, they are simply the representatives of the healing department. Every move of theirs can melt people’s hearts. As time goes by, the little kittens gradually grow up. The kitten with uneven eyes, whose official name is Tangyuan, sometimes tilts its mouth with a look of dissatisfaction because its teeth get stuck in the flesh, which is very interesting. It can also make various funny movements, stretching its body like a gymnast, or suddenly becoming cross – eyed, like a living emoji – making machine. Tangyuan has the same beautiful blue eyes as her mother. When it opens its big eyes and asks me for food, it looks exactly like Diandian when she first came to me. And Diandian, as a mature big cat, no longer asks me for food as eagerly as she did when she was a kitten.
Another kitten was originally named Zhima, but later my mother renamed it Yingtao. One of the kittens, when it was small, always made various hilarious movements. For example, it would make a movement like pooping, but actually it was starting to run, ready to rush to some interesting place. Sometimes, it would be like a sneaky flower – stealing thief, getting caught by me when stealing flowers. When it’s sunbathing, its posture and expression are also very strange, making people not know how to describe it. In the interaction with its siblings, it often shows a look of entanglement, as if thinking about important issues in cat life.
Looking at Diandian and her babies growing up from little kittens, my heart is full of emotions. Diandian has grown from a lively young lady to a great mother, experiencing a lot. And the little kittens are also growing up continuously. Each stage of theirs has brought me different joys. Although there are some difficulties in taking care of them, such as the worry when Diandian was sick, nothing can cover up the beauty they bring to my life. They are like beams of light in my life, illuminating every day of mine.
