In the vast world of online platforms, I found my beloved cat, Qixi, on Xianyu for 1200 yuan. The previous owner had to give it up due to a change in their work location, which presented an opportunity for me to welcome this little furball into my life. It truly felt like destiny. One night, I had a dream within a dream where I was happily raising a cat. From that moment on, the idea of having a cat of my own lingered in my mind. As the Chinese New Year approached and work became less hectic, I decided to browse Xianyu. The more I looked, the more eager I was to have a cat. Having read about “backyard cats” and “week – old cats” on Zhihu, I specifically focused on cats being sold by individuals. When I first saw Qixi, it was love at first sight. I immediately arranged to visit the previous owner’s home on the weekend to see the cat. After spending about ten minutes there, chatting with the previous owner, I made up my mind to take Qixi home.
On the first night Qixi arrived at my place, it showed no signs of shyness at all. Its sleeping posture was so peculiar that I was actually worried it might twist its neck. This was the spot where it came to sleep next to me on the first night, and every night since then, it has made its way to my side in the middle of the night. During the holiday days, I discovered just how much Qixi loves to sleep. It seems to have an insatiable need for slumber, often napping for long hours.
Qixi is truly a handsome feline. With its soft fur and bright eyes, it exudes charm. It has brought so much joy and warmth to my life. Every morning when I wake up and see it lying beside me, I feel a sense of contentment. When I’m at home, it follows me around, as if we have an unbreakable bond. Whether I’m reading a book, watching TV, or simply doing nothing, Qixi is always there, either curled up in a corner or sitting on my lap.
I remember one day when I was feeling a bit down. Qixi seemed to sense my mood. It jumped onto my lap and purred softly, looking at me with its big, innocent eyes. That simple act of affection lifted my spirits instantly. It made me realize how much of a difference this little creature has made in my life. Owning Qixi has taught me about responsibility and the unconditional love that a pet can offer.
As time goes by, our relationship grows stronger. I look forward to many more days and nights with Qixi by my side. We will create countless memories together, whether it’s going on walks in the park (when it’s safe for cats to do so), playing with toys at home, or just spending quiet moments together. Qixi is not just a pet; it’s a cherished member of my family, and I will always love and take care of it.
