In February 2021, I’m here to provide an update. My silver shaded British Shorthair is just a few months away from turning two years old. During this period, it has hardly ever been sick, not even a minor cold. However, as it has grown older, it has become a bit more aloof on occasion. Here is a recent photo of it.
Our family has also welcomed a second cat. Now, the second cat is already nine months old. It is a long – haired British Shorthair with a creamy color. In fact, it should be called a British Longhair. Hahaha, it is a case of atavism in British Shorthairs.
Let’s take a look at the photos!
The second cat is even more clingy than the first one. It is also quite talkative. While the first – born silver shaded cat is rather calm and composed, the second cat is extremely jealous. Whenever it sees me petting the first cat, it will quickly run over and squeeze in between.

The two little ones get along extremely well. On the first day the second cat came home, I originally planned to quarantine it for a while. But the two cats chased each other around, showing no signs of stress at all. They are both very socialized. After just a couple of polite swats at each other, they started cuddling together. So, I hardly ever quarantined them, and to this day, their relationship is harmonious. They have never had a real fight, and they even prefer to eat from the same bowl. As their “mother,” I can’t help but feel a bit jealous, too.
They are so cute! I hope they will always grow up healthily and happily.
PS:
In order to choose the best food for my cats, I usually like to study the formulas of cat food and cat canned food. I also make cat food by myself.
I really enjoy shopping for my cats. I have used more than ten cat litter boxes and over twenty types of cat litter.
Since I have a little folded – ear cat at home, I have spent a long time learning about cat diseases.
I have some friends who are cat owners. They often come to me when they encounter difficulties in cat – keeping. After seeing some cat owners who don’t know that their cat – keeping methods are unscientific, I suddenly have a strong desire to do something meaningful. I want to contribute to the promotion of scientific cat – keeping, so that both cats and their owners can lead very happy lives.
Cats are not just pets; they are family members. Their growth and well – being are of great significance to us. The bond between my two cats is heart – warming. It shows how important companionship is for them. The first cat, with its gradually maturing personality, has become a bit more reserved, while the second cat, full of energy and enthusiasm, adds a lively touch to our home.
When it comes to cat – keeping, scientific methods are crucial. By researching cat food and cat litter, I am trying to provide the best living conditions for my cats. Understanding cat diseases is also essential to ensure their health. For example, with my folded – ear cat, I need to be extra vigilant because of its genetic predisposition to certain health problems.
I believe that by sharing my knowledge and experiences, I can help other cat owners. Many people may unknowingly make mistakes in cat – keeping, such as choosing the wrong food or not providing a proper living environment. By advocating scientific cat – keeping, we can improve the quality of life for cats and strengthen the bond between cats and their owners. I hope that more people will join me in this journey, so that every cat can enjoy a happy and healthy life.
