My Lovely Cat Youlv

My Lovely Cat Youlv

When I first brought Youlv home, it was a bundle of nerves. The new environment triggered a stress response in it, so I had to keep it in a cage for a while. But then, I was completely captivated by its sleeping face. Its tiny body curled up, eyes gently closed, and it looked so peaceful and adorable. At that moment, I knew I was in for a wonderful journey with this little one.

Youlv turned out to be incredibly bold. Just on the second day, while I was still a bit cautious around it, it had already mustered up the courage to crawl onto my chest and fall asleep. It has become my personal “cat – shaped alarm clock.” It is extremely clingy. Every morning, precisely at seven o’clock, it starts licking my face. Once it sets its mind on waking me up at seven, there’s no way I can sleep until even five minutes past seven. What’s more interesting is that its bowel movement time is highly regular. It will definitely poop at seven in the morning and seven in the evening. It seems that the reason it wakes me up by licking my face is to urge me to clean the litter box! How cheeky!

Youlv has a great fondness for both water and milk. It is always trying to steal a sip from my cup. Its little head stretches towards my cup, eyes fixed on the water inside, and its tongue darts out quickly to take a lick. It’s a really cute sight.

However, for all its boldness at home, Youlv can be extremely timid at times. The first time I took it out to get a vaccination, it hid deep inside the bag and refused to come out. No matter how much I tried to coax it, it just huddled there, too scared to move. But one thing is for sure, it drinks water constantly. Whether it’s from its own water bowl or trying to steal from mine, it seems to always be thirsty.

Youlv has a very interesting personality. Sometimes, it can be as quiet as a virgin, sitting still and observing the world around it with a calm demeanor. But in an instant, it can turn into a crazy cat. One day, it managed to destroy three toys in a row. Its energy is simply boundless. It jumps, runs, and attacks the toys with such enthusiasm that I sometimes wonder if it has the heart of a bull rather than a cat.

In the midst of all the joy that Youlv brings me, there is also a tinge of sadness. I miss my dear cat Paigu. Paigu has left this world and gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I don’t know if it is doing well in the cat heaven. I sincerely hope that Paigu, my dear departed cat, can watch over Youlv from above. Youlv, my little one, you bring so much laughter and warmth to my life. Paigu, you will always be in my heart. To both of you, Mom and Dad love you more than words can say.
