In my colorful life, the appearance of LaiLai has brought me endless joy and surprises. LaiLai is a little boy. His official name is Laidekuai, and his nickname is LaiLai. Doesn’t this name sound very special? Yes, it comes from a chain snack store in Chongqing. One day, I accidentally saw this store on the street. Thinking that this name was easy to pronounce and sounded easy to raise, I gave this name to my cat. I even have the name for my second – cat thought out. Its official name will be Xiangcunji, and its nickname will be Xiangxiang. Isn’t it also very interesting?
When LaiLai first came to my home, he looked like an extremely cute little thing, as beautiful as an angel but very shy. He looked around the strange new home timidly. His cautious appearance instantly melted my heart. I was full of joy, looking forward to getting along with him and imagining the wonderful time we would spend together in the future.
However, just one day later, LaiLai seemed to have changed completely and showed his naturally friendly nature. He jumped up and down at home, completely losing the restraint he had when he first came. He began to show his belly in various ways, lying on the ground carelessly, as if announcing his love and trust for this home to the whole world. Looking at his defenseless appearance, I was both angry and amused, and couldn’t help but remind him, “Hey, little guy, you should know that you are the only boy in this family!”
LaiLai loves to play extremely. It seems that he has inexhaustible energy. Climbing and running on the walls are no problem for him. He runs around the house, jumping onto the sofa one moment and then onto the table the next, like a naughty little explorer, full of curiosity about everything around him. He also especially likes to ride in the car. Every time I take him out in the car, he is extremely excited, with curious lights shining in his eyes, constantly looking out of the window at the scenery.
Once, I stuck the cat teaser on the railing. Unexpectedly, this small action made LaiLai find new fun. He played with it by himself for a whole day. Sometimes he used his paws to grab the cat teaser, and sometimes he jumped up trying to bite it, having a great time. Looking at his focused and happy appearance, I was also infected by his happiness.
Although LaiLai is naughty, he is also extremely clingy. He always follows me closely. Wherever I go, he follows. Sometimes I even wonder who is relying on whom. It feels like it’s not him being attracted to me, but me being attracted to him. At night when going to sleep, he even has to hug me to fall asleep. His cute and soft appearance makes it impossible for me to refuse. He especially likes to use my knee as a pillow. He can lie there for a long time and even pose in a triple – knee – pillow position, which is extremely cute. When he sleeps, he is also very interesting. As long as he shows his belly, he can fall asleep anywhere, completely ignoring his image. His cute and naive appearance makes people laugh.
LaiLai also has a special habit, which is kneading. This is a very common behavior for cats, but LaiLai sometimes does things that make people laugh and cry. When he kneads, he even bites with his mouth. Every time I see it, I can’t help but ask him, “Do you even know where the nipple is that you are biting?” But he is like a disobedient child and still does his own thing.
Today I went back to school. When I finished packing my luggage and was about to leave, LaiLai seemed to sense something. He kept staying next to the luggage, looking at me with his big watery eyes, full of reluctance. At that moment, my heart almost broke. Who can resist this? I know that LaiLai has become an indispensable part of my life. The joy and warmth he brings me are indescribable in words. I look forward to going home next time and seeing his lively and cute figure again, and continuing to create more beautiful memories with him.
